Stopped by the museum for about an hour while visiting the area. The museum is not too big, but there are some nice displays here. Many antiques, as well as some American Indian artifacts. There was also a section on Yard Birds, a locally owned...More

This museum is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. It is situated in the historic railroad station building. You'll find a running model railroad showing such local features as swap bridge, and preserved interiors of local living rooms and barber's shop....More

We had a wonderful visit here on a Wednesday morning. The museum is fairly small but interesting and cleverly organized. A fantastic model train set complete with scale size towns adds to the charm. The ladies there were most helpful in assisting visitors with genealogy...More

Love the great old building and local history. Few items to look at outside also. We got to see an amtrak train go blasting by while there

The kids liked the hands on play area and the trains. They had a huge train set with buttons to make the train go. The other room had interesting history, but not much fun for the kids so we didn't spend much time in there.

Many local museums drown you out in contextless artifacts, but this museum does a very good job of bringing it to life. The gift shop has wonderful goodies, and there is even a huge Model Railroad inside. If you are researching local history, there is...More

We visit the museum every time we are in Chehalis. Their exhibits are nicely displayed and the staffers are top rate. Their small gift shop is well stocked with excellent books and some locally produced goods. Don't miss the McKinley stump outside the museum. It's...More

The museum is located in the old Chehalis train station. The museum recently bought the Presidents Stump where past presidents visiting Lewis County stood on to give their presidential campaign.
