This is one of the few hikes that are still open after the fire of 2017. It's a steep, constant uphill with almost 3000ft of elevation gain in about 3 miles. Your reward though, are some stunning panoramic views. There is a parking lot that...More

this is almost 3000 ft up a mountain. and down. bring poles to save your knees a bit. 2-3 hours up. 1-2 down. Great views of the gorge, sunset, etc. Epic views. can be extremely windy, but don't let that stop you. about an hour...More

Well this is straight up and straight down. Steep but great views when it's clear. Be prepared with poles and good shoes! Take water too because it has areas that are very exposed. Take layers too because it can be very windy and cold at...More

I was road tripping in the US and after seeing Yosemite, Lake Tahoe and other incredible places I thought that I could not be amazed by a small hill in Washington, but how wrong I was. The climb up was probably the hardest on my...More

The Gorge is getting loved to death, and this a good example of that. If you're not parked by 8:30, good luck. The view from the top, though, is amazing! Bun buster. You've been warned! 😉

WOW what a GORGEOUS hike! Definitely very different scenery from Southern California and I am so glad I chose this hike! I will tell you though that this hike is quite steep and it is almost all incline to the summit. Not many switchbacks either....More

It is one of the steeper trails in the gorge but not too long. Just a bit less than 7 miles round-trip and almost 3000 feet of elevation. The views of the gorge and the mountains are amazing. It can get a bit crowded on...More

The first 0.7 mi is tough, but it gets tougher. The most difficult path is an uphill trek that will tax the relatively unfit. The last mile is also steep but you get great views on a clear day. The meadow is windy so pack...More

This is a stiff climb! Not for the faint hearted. The trip is worth the steps one takes to get there. Try to get there on a clear day for the views.

I don't care what anyone says, this hike is hard. I took the "less difficult" trail and it was still pretty difficult. Be prepared to take more breaks than usual and go at your pace. Also, bring bug spray. The views are beautiful when you...More
