The Stimpson, long prominent in Bellingham, donated this property for a nature preserve. Its a rather wet parcel, with trails now built for a pleasant walkabout with a friend. Our local forests change rather dramatically with the seasons, growing full with low plants in the...More

Although we had visited Bellingham and environs several times, we had never come across this gem of a park. There are two loop trails, and we walked the main one (total of about 3.3 miles). There are a few elevation changes, but nothing too strenuous;...More

There are different trails to go on depending on your comfort level. The trails are well maintained and once you enter the preserve you feel totally at peace. it is a very pretty setting.

Two main trails. Easy hiking but not flat. Lots of plant life and birds. Quiet. Part of the Whatcom Land Trust, with property maintained in part by volunteers and local groups, including the Rotary Club of Bellingham.
