There are a lot of exhibits, but you do have to be a little technical to appreciate them. The condition of the older exhibits is very good. They do have some good hands on exhibits. It was worth delaying our departure from Bellingham to visit the museum. The show was very good. The museum is somehow connected with a local... More

I wanted to go see this place due to the Mega Zapper. They only do the show at a certain time of day. We entered about an hour before the show and took a look around, they do have some interesting things but unless you are really into that stuff it is just okay. I found the old TV's and... More

We are locals in Bellingham, and one day we decided after all the times we've walked by the museum that we need to stop in and have a look. It was well worth it! There is so much to see in there, just tons of neat old machines and equipment relating to the beginning of electricity. There are also quite... More

A well thought-out museum devoted to electrical invention, but disappointed in how 'traditional' a museum it was. Lots of delicate things you're not supposed to touch. For the price, I would definitely pass until my kids - 3 & 6 YOs - are maybe five years older.

The Spark Museum is a collection of Radios, Televisions and early musical and electronic devises ranging from the earliest day forward. You'll see an extraordinary number of pristine radios many of which are still working. On the weekend there is a show performed about the beginnings of electricity with demonstrations of Tesla coils. There is also an onsite radio station,... More

A great place to visit if you have a couple of hours to kill. The history of Electricity is on display with many interactive displays. Not large by museum standards but packed full of interesting and historic items. It would be a great learning experience for the young .....but no less a learning experience for the older generation who are... More

I had an afternoon to kill when visiting Bellingham for an event so my husband & I went to the Spark Museum. This is a truly fascinating place, with so many significant objects representing the evolution of electrical innovation. Beyond historical objects, there are interactive displays explaining scientific principles, and there are demonstrations of electrical functions that are literally hair... More

This is a mega place to take kids to learn about and understand the evolution of electricity, radio telegraphy and Tv. They have some awesome exhibits from the start of the early pioneers and staff only too keen to demonstrate or explain things. The show that is done is both weird but very well done. Great place to spend a... More

Very well done museum. Displays of items dating back to the discovery of electricity. Many interactive displays. Guides roaming around to explain things. A lot of communications equipment from the beginning of discovery.

I was on vacation and decided to visit with my 7 year old one day. Took quite some time driving around for quite some time to find a parking spot - on a weekday so I didn't think it should be so difficult we finally got parked and walked over. I wasn't super impressed with the neighborhood and felt a... More
