I've gone there several times for a short getaway from Bellingham and never been disappointed. It's a short walk down from the parking lot to the beach. Great views of the bay and quiet times that restore the soul. One of my favorite places in...More

Larrabee State Park is where you want to find this hike. They also have Lost Lake hike. The Fragrance Lake is 51/2 mile r/t and is very beautiful. Need your hiking boots! Once you get to the lake, there is a trail around the lake...More

A group of us went here for the first time on Mother's Day. It was a fun little park. Explore on the trails out to the water, find sea life on the rocks. Just a great relaxing place to go with friends. You will need...More

We love taking our grandchildren here. Lots to see and do and they can run to their hearts content. Some of the trails can be a bit challenging if you have any difficulties getting up and down stairs.

Just a short walk from the parking lot, along a great trail, brings the most beautiful views! My only complaint is you have to pay to park (never had to when I was in college!).

Larrabee has a small unique beach that is accessible from the boat launch. It's not a beach i would make a destination out of. If you have time in bellingham, half the fun of getting to this beach is the drive, which is fantastic. Also,...More

Choose to drive up the coast and through the state park instead of I5! It is definitely worth the extra 10 minutes and have several areas to stop for a quick hike or just a scenic outlook.

Today I visited Larrabee State Park, located in Bellingham, WA. April 15th is Spring Day, so the park was free to the public. What a perfect day...blue skies...64 degrees...not too crowded...lovely day!

No, I wouldn't be afraid. Cougars and bears are usually scared off by dog's barking.
