This Park is beautiful for a walk. The walkways are maintained for steady footing. A great place for fresh air and bird songs. There is a new cafe/ restaurant in the Bellefield Office park that is right on the slough. It has great coffee, snacks, sandwiches and fun views of people kayaking and walking around the water. You can rent... More

This a great place to take a walk. Good path, lots of birds, occasional rabbits, raccoons, coyotes. A quiet place in the midst of a busy city. Also possible to rent a canoe and paddle around the park. Lived near here for 50 years the Slough has changed little.

Mercer Slough is just next off Bellevue Way before you heading to I90. It is well maintain as natural park in downtown. Great place for jogging, kayate in wet land, or pick up blue berries in Summer. If you want to get into the nature but not drive too far, Mercer Slough is great.

We come here often, launch our kayak, and paddle around the water. Always find lots of wild life to watch. The slough is clean, and the people we meet are always very friendly.

Mercer Slough Nature Park is a sanctuary in the midst of a chaotic city. Conveniently located with plenty of parking spots - Bellevue Park N Ride and Winter House at Bellevue Way and Mercer Slough Education Center at 118th Ave SE), it allows for quick getaway. One can walk around the park for less one to two hours. Very flat... More

Very nice paved trail through the slough...only drawback is that it is beside the freeway. Other paths and canoe/kayak/SUP opportunities into marshy areas with Great Blue Heron among other stunning wildlife. Mostly I ride my bike across the slough and appreciate the access it provides.

The Mercer Slough area is a local favorite for activities on the water (kayaking and canoeing) or a short hike/walk. Only a short distance into the park you'll forget you're in a large city as you enjoy the evergreen canopy, the sound of water along the slough and the smells of nature. Be forewarned that this area is also a... More

I started taking my kids kayaking here when they were about 8 and 10. Weekends are a bit busier, but still quite nice. It's a bit of work to paddle under the I-90 bridge from the rental area, but it's worth it. We've seen kingfishers, beautiful blooming water lilies, dragonflies and more birds.
