The 2 museums are together. The folk art is easy to find. Very helpful staff. Spacious walking areas make it easy to roam about to view the sites. Children will be interested as many of the works seem to reflect the inner child.

Beautiful museum, easy to navigate. The collection was entertaining and nicely presented. Plan to spend at least 2 hours. We arrived too late for the tour, but do look online when they are offered, I am sure that would have added a lot to our enjoyment of the museum.

Allow several hours for this vast display. The Christmas tree is a special treat chuck full with handmade felt, paper, tin, wooden ornaments made in the colonial fashion.

This museum has it all. Very interesting displays on a wide selection of decorative arts. In addition on certain days there are presentations by our founding fathers in the Hennage Auditorium. Well worth the time to visit.

I have a real soft spot for Folk Art, and this collection is fabulous! Please allow at least two hours in this museum as there is so much to see. There are also free tours you can take. A cafe on the lower floor provides refreshments as well.

The Quilt exhibit was interesting along with folk art. We should have allowed for 2 hours to view everything. This is a wonderful museum and it's free! We appreciated the complimentary wheel chair. We didn't discover the 2 handicap parking spaces located at the back door until we left.

The museum houses a wide variety of folk art. I particularly liked the weather vanes - something that is a rarity on the West Coast. You can probably spend a couple of hours going through the various pats of the collection.

It was convenient the two museums were connected. It made it easier to do a museum visit in one day. We also got to see the musical instrument show in the big auditorium while we were there. This museum had lots of things we have never seen at other museums. Lots of historical artifacts. We did not realize so many... More

See the fabulous Rockefeller collection in this Museum which is a part of Colonial Williamson. It's really two Museums in one so you will also see wonderful permanent and temporary from the Colonial Williamburg archives. And more practically, it's a great way to spend a few air-conditioned hours on a hot Virginia day! There is a small cafe where you... More
