We have a standard poodle who loves this park as we do. Many trails to hike or just walk along the Potomac. Deer are everywhere. Although we don't play golf the course looks nice. Many families enjoy this park on weekends and it's great to see.

This park is popular in warm weather, drawing many picnic fans and fishermen. It offers a boat ramp to the Potomac, picnic tables, pavillions for rental, golf, mini-golf, cottages for rental, and a pool. It can be very busy during warm weather, but it is a nice respite from the congestion of Northern Virginia. My biggest complaint is jet skiers... More

The kids had a great time at this park. Lots of animals to see, beautiful water views, good trails, and lots of picnic tables. One major drawback however- the bathrooms were awful!!! My kids wouldn't go in them!

We barbecue here at least 3 times a year with friends and family, love it! If you go early you can get a spot with a grill or reserve one for $50-$150 for special occasions (covered area). They have an awesome park with equipment for all ages including baby swings. There are soccer fields and baseball fields where we play... More

Great for quick or long walks, picnicking. The river is a must see any time of the year and any time of the day. May encounter deer, owls, blue herons, etc. on early morning walks on trails or along the river. Sunsets are simply amazing! Bonus for you if you have a kayak or canoe to launch!

From golf to boating, from cabins to pavilions there is a ton of things to do at Algonkian Park. Memories of Girl Scout events, church picnics, graduation parties, a homecoming pictures and long walks will always be cherished when thinking of Algonkian. The sunsets are beautiful there as well.

I loved the trail which was 2 hours towards the Potomac river. On the way we met squirrel, rabbit, deer and lot of birds! The Potomac river was really beautiful.

We are fortunate to be living 10 minutes away and make sure to take advantage of this park as much as possible. Big playground, water park in the summer, waterfront picnic area, boat launch, golf course - this place has it all. Well maintained.

This park offers quite a number of amenities. There are cabins which can be rented on line. Laundry facilities are in a separate building. There is a water park, which will entertain the kids for a while. Adjacent to the water park is a miniature golf course. On the property there is also a golf course with a good clubhouse.... More
