Living across from Claude Moore Park, I finally decided to take advantage of its closeness and the beautiful weather. I opted to do the white trail. It was very smooth and flat to walk out but I lost the trail somewhere around the ballfields and maintenance area. I picked up the blue trail which I knew intersected the white trail... More

I took two pre-teens here for a pre-dinner walk. We enjoyed the wildlife and walking around the outbuildings, but none of the visitors' centers were manned and there was little signage to guide us or help us plan to come back at a better time.

Claude Moore park is a very popular spot in Loudoun for sports lovers and other recreational activities. Besides many sports and workouts, it has an indoor mountail climing facility. There are cultural and educational activities that take place too. It is definitely worth a visit.

Great place for a long walk in the woods. It is dog friendly and has lots of fauna and flora. It has a very nice heritage farm and display. Lots of ball fields and a big recreation center

The USSSA Travel Softball held its World Series tournament at this park. Fields were in excellant shape. Had rain storm on first day. Field maintenance work on these fields and got them back in shape very quickly. Great place to play ball.

In Sterling, Virginia, there is a park we happened upon called the Claude Moore Park. This park has natural habitats, a historical area, recreational facilities and educational opportunities. Be sure to stop at the Visitor’s Center to pick up a brochure of the Claude Moore Park Lanesville Area Walking Tour. Take time to walk through the Park and its environs... More

Who would think there is a small park located near a shopping center that is historical and offers a place to sit and enjoy the beauty of the park? It is not very big but offers benches to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Although small in size, there are signs along the path explaining the importance and role Vestal Gap... More

My sister, two nephews (ages 6 and 8), my son (age 7) and I went to an egg hunt today at the nature center. There are lovely hiking trails, miles of them. There are all sorts of fun nature activities and helpful employees who love to explain about native plants and animals. This is a great place for young children.... More

Fun for fishing at their fish stocked pond. Also there is an indoor recreation area with a pool, rock wall climbing, exercise equipment, and a basketball court!
