The Visitor Center offers much information on what to do and see. Street Maps were provided to highlight areas of interest. Really felt the pride and excitement from the guest service agent that Staunton is awesome.

I was in town for a conference, and took advantage of the visitors' center attached to/next to the Stonewall Jackson Hotel and Conference Center. Good information, helpful staff and convenient!

The visitors center has lots of information for area attractions as well as a place to sit down and restrooms. Gloria was very helpful and gave us a great tip about taking the trolley for 25 cents.

A woman at the center gave us wonderful suggestions on how to spend our day, She called a local museum to check the times for us of tours, and she even lent us an umbrella for the day!

You can easily tour both buildings in 3 hours. The house (his birthplace) gives a great guided tour that lasts about an hour. The library (museum) you do at your leisure so you really spend just as much time as you like.
