Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. We have stopped in many times when visiting the area. Nice artsy gift shop inside. Have purchased gifts several times for friends and family here. Any info you need when in the area, make this a stop. Within walking distance of historic Smithfield.

Having family from another state in for a visit and decided to see what the visitor center would recommend. It was a helpful visit but i want to make a recommendation to others.....remember that there are gems to visit that do not pay for advertising and i like to visit those. In my town the best resource are the older... More

One of the gentleman who runs the Visitor Center was so kind and shared a lot of the history of Smithfield with my husband and me. We look forward to visiting again this year.

Lots of local flavor, from the largest Smithfield ham to the country store. Located right in the town and very accessible. Worth a stop of an hour or so to suck up the local feeling

We were so glad that we decided to visit Smithfield and the Historic St,. Luke's Church. The people are very friendly, the homes are historic - just a nice place to be. We did experience a 'fragrance' in the air but I would not hesitate to visit Smithfield again.

Nice little visitor center on Main Street in Smithfield. The people were very friendly and helpful. They called St. Luke's church and set-up a tour, being the off season for the church we would have missed out on this if not for their help.

What a great place to visit, the art work, the bits and bobs, hand crafted by local artists, great for an eclectic day out.

I went into the Smithfield and Isle of Wight Visitor Center today to look for handmade items for Christmas gifts. They have a terrific selection of things. I am always so impressed not only with the beautiful art pieces but the handmade jewelry is beautiful. When you come to Smithfield, VA don't forget to come to this visitor center and... More

The Smithfield visitors center should be your 1st stop when arriving in town. The Smithfield walking map is the most important brochure to get since it covers many of the important locations in this small easily navigable town.We were in town for the historic homes tours and the woman at the center was very informative and answered all of our questions...
