Fun spot to relax and taste beers. Green Eyed Lady is a pistachio flavored beer. Vanilla Stout is a dessert in a mug. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about beer selection. Tiny description cards allow you to select which beers interest you. Scottville is a small town to walk and explore.

A nice small brewery. Did not realize there was space in back of the entrance. What to like about it-small enough to strike up a conversation with the workers or patrons, although a small collection of beers on tap at any one time enough variety to satisfy hop heads or those who likes Stouts like myself, beer not bad. So... More

After spending a hot August day on the James River, it was nice to stop at the James River Brewery to relax and enjoy some cold beer before heading back to Richmond VA. The interior of the brewery is small and cozy and the wait staff are very knowledgeable of the different varieties of their beer. They do have small... More

Great little brewery with a beer garden. Visited on a Friday night and they had live music. Lots of locals who were very friendly. Logger lager was my favorite.

Fun little tavern with indoor seating and a fair selection of brews. They have a back patio with adequate seating with corn hole, a second bar, live music on the weekends, and clean, rustic bathrooms both inside and outside. Service was prompt and staff is knowledgeable. Their stout is very robust and sneaks up on you if you're not careful... More

Small out of the way brewery that has both indoor and outdoor seating. My wife and I sat out on the back patio where there was live music. Singer was awesome, but the music was a tad loud.....Sampled a couple of beers and both excellent. Decided on the IPA and it was definitely one of the best IPA's I have... More

A relatively new, up and coming brewery. The beer was good, even the types that were not my favorite. In fact, I had decided that I just don't like wheat beer, but theirs was very tasty. But the one to write home about was the stout. My, my! I look forward to seeing their products in retail outlets soon.

A friend and I visited the brewery recently and enjoyed a flight. The staff was very pleasant and friendly and also helpful about explaining the beers. It's a small rustic place inside but has an outdoor patio and live music at times. Enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours in the afternoon
