Reston is an attractive, vibrant city with good restaurants & shops but is in danger of shooting itself in the head thanks to the recent introduction of complicated and expensive payment by app only parking charges. Parking was excellent and free until the start of the year when against all the advice and comments of every business they decided to... More

They had ice skating, though it was pretty warm. Easy to walk from place to place. Lots of places to eat. Lots of places to drink. A variety of prices could be found. Quaint and comfortable for a woman traveling alone.

We've been to RTC on numerous occasions. The last time being on Thanksgiving 2016. We were fortunate enough to be there for the tree lighting ceramony. This place is great. From the shopping, restaurants and bars you can always have fun here.

Reston Town Center has many high end boutiques, restaurants, and a beautiful movie theater complex for entertainment. The center square has a decorative water fountain and tables to relax at, giving visitors a pleasing view of the shops, activities playing out, and special music events that occur throughout the year. There is a nice mix of people of every age... More

About a month ago RTC implemented a pay-to-park scheme ($2/hr in garage ... $3/hr in street) which has discouraged many casual visitors fro going to RTC. RTC remains a wonderful destination and with pay-to-park it's quite easy to leave your car very close to the store or restaurant you'd like to visit. Wow the Selection! And many of the businesses... I spent quite a bit of time tonight talking to a restauranteur lamenting that her sales are down 40% since RTC started charging for parking. People aren't going there anymore. It was a nice restaurant that's been in business for over 10 years. I'm new to the area, but understand RTC has been around for 20 years. So why did... More

1. The ParkRTC App wouldn't work with 5 of my credit cards (they all work fine). 2. The concept of paying to park to frequent marginal shops and restaurants makes no sense at all. They have nothing that I can't find at Tysons with ample free parking. 3. The restaurants are marginal and predictable. 4. Generic shops offer mediocre merchandise... More

It is nice to have all the shops and restaurants in one area. The parking was free for us... Not sure if that is a weekend thing or not, but I do know some of the restaurants validate.
