Regularly go around the pond for a quick walk. Beautiful views and our favorite place for sledding when it snows. Peaceful and quiet but often meet friendly other walkers, or "fishers" who occasionally want to talk to you! Usually we stay quiet around them. Nice park. We have had birthday parties and "odyssey of the mind" end of season celebrations... More

There is a big area to walk your dogs or to just wander the trails. If you like horses there are trails for that too. In the summer you can take advantage of the water park. Many areas for baseball, soccer and frisbee.

Nice countryside atmosphere. There are different ball parks and recreational outdoor sporting facilities tailored for the youth programs. The baseball/softball diamonds are well maintained. Restroom facility, the seating, and the parking spaces can be improved for the players and the spectators.

The park offers tremendous opportunities and great views. They try to please everyone from swimmers to equestrians and even ice skaters. However, as an equestrian, the riding ring is directly adjacent to the frisbee golf area. The horses see things flying amid trees which makes spooking commonplace and creates a dangerous situation for horse and rider.

We go here quite often for the pool. Like to go in the afternoon after the DAy campers leaves. They keep the campers under control better than many other pools we have seen. The theater venue is also great we tend to go about once a month the seating is nice there's handicap accessible

go off season in fall (after football practice is over!!), winter, or early spring and you will often have the place to yourself although the frisbee players are definitely more numerous than they used to be. Trails go around entire perimeter and the performing arts center in the barn puts on some good shows.

So much to do here. Horseback trail riding, Equestrian riding ring in the Equestrian area, swimming (in the summer), walking, tennis, softball, Franklin Park Arts for theater and music, disc golf, pavilions, play ground. Beautiful rolling hills.

What a wonderful venue to have amid the rolling hills of the Purcellville countryside. The Arts Centre is such a bonus! They have some really awesome artists visiting - Ralph Stanley for the bluegrass enthusiasts was just fantastic to name one. Wonderful productions for stage - for music - for the family - and close to home! The park has... More

What a nice surprise for a local park. There is a horseback riding trail as well as a biking, hiking trail. A catch and release pond, baseball/ softball and soccer fields. The real hidden gem here is the 18 hole disc golf course. The course is rated by the PDGA and open to all skill levels. Nice picnic areas for... More
