A fantastic swimming spot if you can brave the cold water! Car park only a very short walk from the falls, and free to park, lovely stuff!

The waterfalls are beautiful. The access is easy for family with kids. There are benches to have a rest, toilet and plenty of shade. It is a good spot to visit on the way from Paihia to Kerikeri (or back).

Rainbow Falls is a short drive from the town and a nice little getaway. With lots of parking space, it is a short walk to see the falls. There is also a rocky stream that you can hang out by and various trails.

We walked the track from the Keri Keri Basin. Took around 2.5 hours when you stop to take photos and enjoy the scenery. Well worth it. Was a great way to spend the morning. Track is excellent and we enjoyed grapefruit off the tree. Wear...More

My husband and I enjoyed this beautiful bush walk with the added delights of waterfalls at two locations. It took at least an hour there and about 40 minutes on the return trip (slightly downhill).

Unfortunately it was too cold to swim when we visited the falls. Well worth a visit to see them anyway. If you manage to find a hot day it would be amazing to swim there.

We parked at the Stone Store car park and ran along the Kerikeri River Track to Rainbow Falls. A lovely run through the bush - 8kms there-and-back. Such a beautiful part of the country!

It's a 2 minutes drive or 7 minutes walk. Once you a there you have a 20 minutes walk on the Kerikeri Walkway. It's an interesting walk but a bit up and down but plenty to see in the landscape.

Hi, yes if you are travelling from Paihia it would pay to rent a car...15 minutes drive. Go to the Rainbow falls from the Waipapa rd end. It is too far to take a 4 yr old from the Stone Store end. .. Then its not far... More
