We were able to visit during closed hours per a friend who's a local (Robyn). We weren't interested in a taste test, but smelling samples alone allowed us to go away with 5 bottles of oil and some pickled olives, beautifully packed by Helen in bubble wrap for safety. She even supplies recipe cards for the oils bought - and... More

We got to taste a range of olive oils including my favourite vanilla. The lemon infused oil has been wonderful on most meals so far especially fish. Very passionate people.

We arranged a private tour of Olivo and were met by the owners, Helen and John. Helen was so informative as she took us around the olive groves. It was a really interesting tour and we learnt a lot about olive trees and their fruit. From there we went back to the shop where we then learnt how to 'professionally'... More

They were suppose to be closed, but Helena and John was so kind enough to open for us and take the time to explain their concept to our entire family from South Africa. Her flavored oils is the best I have tasted and regular request some through family members.

An absolute MUST-DO if you are in the Wellington/Wairarapa region. Helen & John are welcoming hosts and took the time to walk us through the history and various details of Olive Oil making & pairing. Sophie the cute doggie was taking a nap snoring quite cutely while Helen guided us through the tasting - which was simply a WOW !!... More

This place wasn't on the map the bike hire provided us with, but someone suggested it and we were so glad we stopped here. The olive oils were delicious and the owner interesting and passionate about the olive oil they produce. We left with a bottle of their lemon infused extra virgin olive oil, a few recipe ideas and lots... More

We popped in here randomly during a bike ride. John was super friendly, opening up for us and narrating really interesting stories on olives. The oil itself is out of this world!!

Thankful for opening for us on a Wednesday. We enjoyed the informative tour of the orchards. The gardens were also beautiful with quite a variety of flora. The best part, of course, was tasting your oils. They are high quality and rich in flavor. Glad we took a bottle home with us. A great start to our wine tour day.

We booked a tour at short notice and Helen was the perfect host. We toured the grove and then sampled all of the delicious olive oils whilst learning more about them. This is a tour that would be interesting at any time of the year and we will certainly be going back.
