Watching the sunset here at the sunset markets on a Thursday night is a must if you're visiting Perth! There are plenty of food stalls as well as jewellery and clothes stalls which obviously vary in price but didn't find anything to be ridiculously expensive. The atmosphere here is lovely as there is always live music when the markets are on and it's very busy. Because of the popularity parking is terrible so either come early or get the bus if you can. Great for everyone, families, couples etc... Beach itself is perfect definitely recommend too not just for the markets!

We decided to spend the day here, taking bus 990 from Perth. You cannot miss the stop... It's the last one :) They are really well organised, we saw a lot of families as well because you can stay under the roof of the covered amphitheatre or the shaded grass areas. Take your time to have a stroll along the beaches on both sides of the amphitheatre. Sometimes you'll probably be the only one walking on this amazing stretches of sand.

This beach is stunning!!!! The ombre water which goes from turquoise to a deep blue, the white sand scattered with small pippi shells. The sunsets into the water!! It is beautiful!!! The water is a fairly calm with average sized waves. The afternoons, the beach has kits surfers and surfers alike aling the beach which is also lovely to see. I also love the seating areas next to the beach and the playground, skatepark and rock climbing wall for kids. The pool is also a lovely addition but does cost to visit.

Great beach. Suitable for everyone from surfers to newbies. Different areas either side to avoid the big waves if desired. Have lifeguards. Can be busy on weekend mornings with surf clubs. Parking can also be an issue.
