About Coral Bay Ecotours
Coral Bay Ecotours is a fully accredited tourism business of Australia, an adventure tour company working within the realms of the magnificent Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia. Come on board our Glass Bottom Boat for our 1 hour coral view, 2 hour coral view and 2 snorkels. Why not visit our resident turtles on our 3 hour turtle Ecotour, where we can observe them feeding, then enjoy 2 snorkels. How about a fantastic marine ecotour for the opportunity to swim with the awe inspiring manta ray, in what has become almost a daily event. Embrace adventure snorkeling with these gentle giants. Coral Bay is also one of the few places in the world where you can snorkel with the magnificent whale sharks - the world’s biggest fish. It certainly is an experience of a lifetime and the main seasonal attraction between March and July for guests from all over the world. For the second year, we will be part of the humpback interaction trial, where you may have the opportunity to see a humpback from in the water! This takes whale watching to a whole other level! Season begins August and finishes in November, but be quick as it may be the last year for this amazing experience!! We also run 3 hour whale watching tours during the season. Humpback whale swimming and snorkelling with Coral Bay Ecotours was amazing! Ellie, Elle and the crew were very knowledgeable, the boat was great, spotter plane got us some perfect drops. Lots of little details made the day perfect - nice lunch, glass of champers and warm face towels at the end of the cruise 😊 Kids rated it best day ever and I agree!

I didn't get the chance to dive the reef ecosystem from shore up near Exmouth because of visibility issues, so I wanted to take a trip out to see it (including see some Manta Rays and Reef Sharks). The vis wasn't amazing on the day but it was nice to see the rays up close, which were the tour highlight and the sharks were cool. We had a brief whirlwind tour of some of the reef. As an experienced skindiver who enjoys underwater photography and is fascinated by seeing and researching the new species I see, I felt like the ecotour was a bit too fast paced and more catered towards beginners/families. There was so many new things to see but we swam past them quickly. The other problem me and my partner had was the general lack of snorkeling etiquette by others on the trip. He almost asked the cabin crew to say something in the end, as many people were not thinking of others around them. The crew were great but it felt less organised than the whale shark trip we went on the day before. The only other thing was that we spent a lot of time just cruising around rather than being in the water, and finished at lunch time when it was supposed to be a full day trip. Other than that it was a fun experience, the boat was nice and the lunch provided was tasty.

We had the most amazing whale swim thanks to our incredible crew who timed everything so perfectly. Our second and more successful whale swim was such a surreal and unforgettable moment!
