Experience Ningaloo Reef in your own time, away from the crowds and in style! Join Sail Ningaloo aboard the luxury sailing catamaran 'Shore Thing'. Small group tours include freshly prepared gourmet meals, equipment and activities (snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, fishing), and your accommodation on board in four well appointed double cabins. Tours depart from Coral Bay on the Ningaloo Reef and are available for three, five or nine nights in duration. Tours depart between March and December each year.

As part of our 6 week Australian trip, we spent 3 nights on A Shore Thing and 3 nights at Sal Salis. The snorkeling was amazing. Swam with Manta Rays! The food prepared by Kate was fabulous.. Fresh and very tasty. Accommodations were very nice. Chris, the skipper, was a great captain as well as a masterful grillmeister. The crew was attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable.
Sal Salis was a fascinating experience. Glamping on the beach, exquisite food, snorkeling outside our tent.
I would strongly recommend the combo trip. Perfect way to experience Western Australia.

5 nights on ShoreThing exploring the Ningaloo Reef with the enthusiastic and experienced Sail Ningaloo crew is a trip of a lifetime.
The yacht is spacious and comfortable, ideally fitted for snorkelling and diving.
We explored several different and varied reef sites each day. The diversity of coral, fish and marine life all round was magnificent.
The crew looked after us amazingly well. The meals are varied and delicious. The helm immensely knowledgeable about the area and the yacht. The marine biologist on board a wealth of information and immensely professional in looking after us in the water when both snorkeling and diving. It was an amazing privilege to explore Ningaloo in this way. Thank you

Spent 5 days with Luke, Bonnie and Kate on Shore Thing off the coast of western Australia. Awesome experience! We saw 7 species of sharks, were surrounded by humpback whales much of the time, saw countless fish and beautiful, healthy coral. Great food and great service. My wife and I highly recommend

We have both travelled widely. This turned out to be not just another trip. It was an experience; one of the very best kind. There is the reef. Amazing coral, amazing sea life small and large – some very large – and the time over 5 days with 14-15 snorkelling (or scuba) occasions each in different places allowed an appreciation of the complexity of the marine ecosystem. For example, I had never heard of a cleaning station and the sight of shark after shark coming in for “cleaning” attention from small fish was awesome.
However, this would have been simple, pretty, one dimensional sightseeing without the crew’s depth of knowledge and passion for this area. Before each dive / snorkel we had a briefing on why we were in that particular place, what we might see and why we might see it. As well as the marine life there were shipwrecks and we had the history of those before we went into the water. As we looked at them through our masks, it was sobering to think about the history and the circumstances.
The attentiveness of the super friendly and helpful crew, the amazing food, the comfort of the boat itself, and the skipper’s flexibility and adjustment of the sites we stopped at made the trip an experience of the very best kind. Their passion for this area was infectious.

The five nights dedicated diving were awesome. The corals in Coral Bay are the most beautiful hard corals we had seen in a long time. The waters were full of humpbacks, sharks and mantas. The crew and our dive instructors were world class. They produced a movie about our trip and the diving. What an amazing effort for our little group. We watched it 20 time since we left the boat. In summary: Amazing, amazing, amazing. Go if you can!

The organising crew were simply outstanding in getting all the details and logistics sorted well in advance and then the crew on the boat were wonderful in making our diving and snorkelling adventure a trip to remember. The experience was well beyond our expectations and the Sail Ningaloo team made the special well over the top.

They organise at least 3 water based activities a day, mostly diving amongst the amazing inner reef area of Ningaloo. The fish, coral structures, turtles, manta rays, whales and sharks are in abundance and are a testament to the health of the reef.
The young crew of Shore Thing looked after us and the food was excellent. Sailing Ningaloo is one of the best ways to see one of natures wonders.

Sometime next year we hope to visit Ninngaloo. We are coming from California and avid divers. and would like to dive in warm water (my husband is allergic to neoprene) and can plan the trip, possibly with others - snorkelers and possibly one other diver, according to best time to dive Ninngaloo. What would be the cost of a trip, and how many days do you recommend? We love muck diving as well as sharks, mantas etc.

Please feel free to contact us direct through our website or email (shows at the top of our listing as I cannot list it here - TripAdvisor rules) so we can best answer your questions regarding what we can offer you here at Sail Ningaloo.
Our tours (usually 3, 5 or 9 nights) are perfectly suited to groups where there is a mixture of divers and snorkelers however we also offer dedicated scuba diving tours at times. For the warmest water we recommend visiting in March or April and this time of year there is a great opportunity to see Manta Rays, sharks, turtles, hundreds of species of reef fish as well as all the small critters. Snorkels and dives vary from sandy lagoons, cleaning stations, walls and thick coral coverage in pristine condition. You wont be disappointed with a trip to Ningaloo Reef! We look forward to the opportunity of welcoming you on board one of our live aboard tours.
