We opted for the 5 day experience and the tour did not disappoint. The weather was perfect, and the backdrop of blue/green ocean, clear blue sky and red earth was pure magic. Our cabin comfort onboard “Shore Thing” was adequate, very clean and we had a our own en-suite bathroom which was a plus. Sophie cooked some amazing meals in her small kitchen and she also assisted us whilst snorkelling, which gave us more confidence. Dave was also very supportive, taking great care of all the guests on and off the water; keeping us calm when the sharks appeared. They were champions. On our first day, Luke asked us what we would like to experience during the trip and all the guests gave him their ideas. We were so lucky to experience many encounters. From manta rays rolling, dolphins, dugongs, turtles and to top it off, a breaching whale. He was so patient and persistent in making sure we could tick off these encounters from our bucket list. Each day we were thrilled to sail to different coral reefs and given a morning and afternoon snorkel and all reefs were quite beautiful; the water was crystal clear and corals were brightly coloured. At each site “Shore Thing” was the only boat on the reef. I recommend this tour to all age groups, as safety was paramount. Well done guys for giving us the most wonderful holiday in our own back yard. Stay safe.

Julie, it was amazing to have you join us on board and we thank you for your lovely feedback. It makes us so happy to hear how much you valued the whole experience as we work hard to ensure all guests receive a magical and unique experience and feel 100% safe doing so! I am sure the rolling Manta Rays memory will stay with you for a while yet, or at least until next time :), take care.

By booking early, we were able to reserve ourselves an ensuite cabin for their 6 day/night sail along the Ningaloo Reef.
We soon settled into the grove of either joining the small group of six for their snorkel/dive trips, or quiet simply, go for a swim and sunbath with a glass of sparkles… whatever takes you fancy at the time. No doubt, with your coggles on, the variety of fish and coral you get too see is immense to the extend it’s hard not to go on the snorkel/dive trips as you feel you may miss out. My partner is not good in the water, but with a bit of persuasion by the experienced crew, she soon had her head under water swimming alongside a giant Mantra. Two of the guides took her side by side and pulled her through the water feeling very comfortable and exilarated by the whole experience. This just proves that Sail Ningaloo is for everybody, not just for the experienced aqua(wo)men.
Than there is the food…fresh, tasty, varied and in abundance! A well stocked bar that will keep
your thirst quenched and a comfy cabin (recommending the ensuite variety) to retire into generally early evening as the day starts around 7am daily with brekky served. So, all in all an amazing 6 days onboard with Chris (Captain), Hendrick (‘Fritz’😉-Dive Master) and ‘Gee’ as our hostess of the mostess with most of her time spend in the Galley feeding our tummies.
Henrick created an amazing video of us during our 6 days onboard and more so under water, whilst Chris made sure to get us into the best snorkel/dive spots whilst ensuring our overnight comfort by anchoring off in calm bays. Make sure you ask Chris to join you for an early morning swim…he’ll thank you for it🤔.
Thank you all for a great time and looking after us! John, Claire, Mandy & Alex

My partner and I did the 3 night dedicated dive trip and loved every minute! Fantastic vessel and amazing location, but it was the professional yet super fun team - Duke, Kate and Hendrick - on Shore Thing that really made the entire experience so fantastic. Shore Thing is very comfortable with heaps of room to relax between dives. Once you set up your gear you never touch it again until you're (sadly) packing up to leave. Entry was an easy step off platform and ladder back up, all assisted by the team. Kate was delightful and worked wonders in the galley, presenting delicious and beautiful meals. Duke our skipper (and excellent cooker of steaks) provided magical humpback and shark sightings and dropped us and collected us at dive sites with precision. And we were so lucky to have the talented underwater photographer and expert dive guide Hendrick capture our trip so we could watch and relive this dreamy experience. If you're considering diving on Ningaloo Reef this is absolutely the way to go!

Thank you for your kind words. Other dedicated diving trips can be very tiring with all dive dive dive that goes on so we pride ourselves on the way we offer these tours that our guests also get to have some relaxing down time as well and enjoy all aspects of the Ningaloo Reef. It sounds like this trip did just that and offered you a range of wildlife sightings. Our crew do work hard to make the trips the best they can be and I know they love it too. Hopefully we will see you back here again one day, maybe with others you have tempted with your video ;)

My husband and I did an 8 night trip, combining a 3 night and 5 night trip. This was our second trip with Sail Ningaloo and they were both that good we plan to go again in 2024!
There were 8 paying guests for both the 3 and 5 nights, with 4 divers and 3 divers respectively on each trip.
We love getting out of bed and just being there, ready to go. We snorkeled and dived 2 to 3 times a day. We had wonderful dive masters, host (and snorkel guide) and skippers that were knowledgeable and confident in their roles, who made every effort to make our trip enjoyable.
The food was superb and the snacks appearing after every snorkel and dive were delicious.
The highlights were the shark cleaning station while snorkeling, the Dugongs from the catamaran, swimming with the Manta Rays, walking on secluded beaches and seeing all the fish and critters in the sea, especially spotting scorpion fish!
AND, to cap it all, being provided with photos and videos of the whole trip to take away.
Pre-trip and post trip support was excellent.
Thank you Haley.

Luke and crew went over the top to make all guests feel comfortable and provide the desired experiences.

The Shorething is nicely fitted out and made for the comfort of the passengers. It is a catamaran so the rooms are on smaller side of scale.

The front deck is comfortable on the nets and beanbag chairs, but generally sunny and can be wet when sailing.

Sitting out back is spacious and sitting up with the captain provides good views.

Guests are free to roam and sit as they wish which is nice feature.

Luke set the daily schedule of activities to ensure as much excitement as possible and capturing the great options of the area. The snorkeling was fantastic with octopus everywhere and schools of colorful fish. The dives were also good but had some visibility issues on occasion. Luke knows the area forward and backward and remains flexible in selecting all sites and excursions to bring maximum rewards.

All in give strong recommendation. Boat, crew, and sites were great. Just be aware of boat size to ensure you will be comfortable.

Absolutely amazing experience! Our crew Luke, Sofie and Dave did a stellar job in every respect with so much attention to detail and ensuring that we were spoiled from the moment we stepped aboard to the moment none of us wanted to come (stepping back ashore). Shore Thing is the perfect way to explore the area in comfort and style, form relaxing on the deck with a glass of wine, to fine dining and of course a world class diving experience. Thanks guys, I’ll be back!

Best experience you could have! No matter how long or short your time on Shore Thing is you will enjoy every minute of it. The staff (Haley, Heather and Duke) made this trip unforgettable. I cannot recommend it enough for non divers, new divers, and experienced divers. The food is fantastic and they offer airport transfer so there is absolutely nothing for you to worry about!

The whole experience with Sail Ningaloo was terrific! The scenery was sensational and the snorkelling/diving fantastic with beautiful coral & sooo many fish! The boat was well set out with everything comfortable and with easy access to the water. We also feel that we were very blessed to have Chloe, Gloria & Chris as our crew. They were just the right balance of professional, helpful, but also fun to be around. All 3 crew members went beyond what I am sure is expected of them. They were always clear with their explanations, flexible with differing situations and it was obvious that they wanted us to have the best possible time while on the boat. Their positive, happy personalities were contagious as was their love and respect of the ocean!

I highly recommend a trip with Sail Ningaloo. We have much love/respect for the whole company including Hayley and Christie who made communication in the lead-up easy and timely.

Each dive was in a place only our boat occupied which gave us the freedom to explore the reef at our leisure. First time I have seen a giant Groper and really enjoyed the snorkel sessions with soooo many octopus moving about the reef. Some areas have an abundance of soft coral while others are hard coral fingers or mounds full of critters. Our night dive during the coral spawn was unforgettable. The crew were genuinely so interested in making each meal, dive, sail, shore excursion perfect for us.

The five nights dedicated diving were awesome. The corals in Coral Bay are the most beautiful hard corals we had seen in a long time. The waters were full of humpbacks, sharks and mantas. The crew and our dive instructors were world class. They produced a movie about our trip and the diving. What an amazing effort for our little group. We watched it 20 time since we left the boat. In summary: Amazing, amazing, amazing. Go if you can!
