Great day out, 8am till 4pm including lunch on the water, A$185 snorkel or A$215 2 tank dive including all kit excellent value considering they even have a spotter plane to find the mantas. We waited for a calm day (less wind) so the mixed snorkel and dive party was about 20, but they had 5 crew, and we were divided neatly into groups, snorkel, try dive and certified dive, each 6-7 people. And it worked fine. My wife was nervous but the snorkel leader quickly helped her relax, helped adjust her mask and was excellent. My dive master helped with my dive kit and generally took good care. After the first dive/snorkel, we followed the spotter plane to the mantas, then snorkelled behind it in groups. Amazing as the water is only a few metres deep inside the Ningaloo reef. After pleasant lunch (cold meat salads etc incl veg options) we dived or snorkelled on a shark cleaning station,, 15 2 metre sharks we viewed from overhead (snorkel) or eye level ( dive). Great day out.
The professional photographer takes photos throughout, you can buy all her 100 or so photos that day including yourself for A$50. Good deal for excellent photos.

We had the most amazing day on the water with this crew of amazingly talented and professional people who looked after us so well and ensured we saw all the reef had on offer. The Manta ray interaction lived up to to all our expectations but the added bonus was to see several turtles, reef sharks and dolphins. However the highlight of the day was the privilege of seeing a very curious hump back whale who visited us swimming under the boat not just once but three times!!
Thanks Tom and your crew for the most wonderful day. We highly recommend this tour to all visitors to Coral Bay

We booked the whale shark tour and, even though we didn’t actually encounter any whale sharks this time (that’s what can happen when dealing with wildlife), I wish I could give more than 5 stars!
Absolutely exceptional customer service from start to finish, an absolutely brilliant day on the water with incredible sea life encounters, all with a crew that displayed vast amounts of professionalism and knowledge. They even tirelessly engaged our kids throughout the whole day, sharing jokes and teaching them about all things Ningaloo. I honestly cannot recommend this company highly enough and would urge anyone considering a tour with them to absolutely go ahead and book. It was worth every cent! We had an the most amazing day and are still buzzing about it almost 1 week later!!
Thank you so much for your refreshing approach to providing an amazing Ningaloo experience! You guys are absolutely the best!!

Thank you to the whole crew at Ningaloo Reef Dive on each day between 3/08/21 to 5/08/21.
My partner and I did the open water course and Allison was our instructor.
Scuba diving was a huge challenge for my partner and I and a real milestone achievement in our lives. Allison was extremely professional and made us feel so comfortable. We felt safe all the time and always felt respected. She had so much patience and didn’t make us feel like we were an inconvenience.
After completing the self paced online eLearning PADI material before the course, the first day was some face to face theory and practical exercises in the pool.
The next two days we were on the Ningaloo Manta Ray tour of which we completed two of our dives each day for our course and also got to join in and snorkel with the Manta Rays. Each day we saw several Manta Rays and even saw a Bronze Whaler shark.
The crew on board were so kind and friendly, they were all very professional and made us feel welcome.
The crew were very particular about looking after the reef and the environment. They were careful not to leave any food or rubbish in the ocean and gave very good briefings about how to participants could minimise their impact on the reef while they visited. Each morning they were happy with big smiles and it seemed like they really loved their job. They spent more time then they needed to explain things and tell us information about the reef and it’s inhabitants.
On board each day we had David taking photographs of the tour. He did an awesome job and the photographs he took were perfect. He was also very professional and friendly. He made us feel welcome and was more than happy to tell us stories of his experiences and share his knowledge. The photos he produced were great value for money and you would be crazy not to purchase them at the end of the tour.
Overall the Open Water course with Ningaloo Reef Dive in Coral Bay was outstanding value for money and their service was exceptional.
The tour is very eco friendly and we will be recommending it to everyone we know.
If you have any fears or doubts about scuba diving, don’t hesitate to try it here, they will look after you and open your horizons to a whole new world under the sea.
Thank you Allison and all the crew.

Well this is an experience you must not miss! My wife and I took the half day manta ray tour and what a trip it was. Besides swimming with this great creature we also saw turtles, a shark and an amazing array of coral fish.
None of this would have been possible without the wonderful crew who organised it and put up with us for a few hours. We were a group of about 10 men & women, some young, some not so young but we all kitted up in the borrowed wet suits, fins & goggles and away we went. The biggest manta ray we swam with was about 4m across and did he put on a show! An amazing spectacle. The cost was great value and there are absolutely no regrets.
Big shout out and thanks to the crew including Harriet in the office, Bron in the air, Stuart the boat skipper, Ster & Krystal our on board and in water guides and also to Aneata, the underwater photographer who took all the amazing pics we couldn’t! Thanks to you all...you were all so kind, friendly, patient & giving...legends!

I wasn't diving for about two and a half years. So I made the refresher. After a professional theoretical refresh we went out to the reef where some skills were refreshed. Than two wonderful dives waited for us. The water is with a maximum depth of a bit more then 11 meters shallow what was very good for me. We saw a lot of fishes, grey reef sharks, green sea turtles, anemone fishes, butterfly fishes and many more. The cleaning station was spectacular to see, there were over a dozend reef sharks getting a clean from cleaner fishes. In between of the two dives we saw some dolphins, snorkeled with the mantas and had lunch.

We went on the shark whale trip on 5th March and it was fantastic. All the crew were very professional taking care that the environment and all the living creatures were cared for as well as providing a great experience for all on board. A day I will never forget. Thank you to all the crew, Vicky for towing me along and Sam for the incredible photographs.

We booked online and found the process easy with links to refresher dive info seamlessly connected. On the day the team, with our personal guide Jordie, was uniformly warm, welcoming and engaging making the preparation easy and stress free. The diving was spectacular and fun with great visibility. Swimming with the Manta Rays in between our two dives was quite extraordinary. It’s a short cruise out to the reef which makes for an action packed day with no real gaps. We all had a great time and would happily do it again. Our 13 year old daughter loved it after recently completing her open water dive course, and Jordie made it both a rewarding and educational experience for her. Thanks guys.

We are visiting WA for the first time and diving on Ningaloo Reef was at the top of our bucket list. The staff at this dive shop are very friendly and helpful. They suggested the full day package with two dives on the outer reef, all gear supplied along with lunch and snorkeling with Manta Rays. The reef dives were great, with lots of hard coral formations, fish and even a fish cleaning station accommodating 5 Grey Reef sharks. We were also able to snorkel next to two large mantas in shallow water with excellent vis. While looking for mantas we were also privileged to get a very rare view from the boat of a mother Right Whale and her calf in these shallow waters. The little guy was very playful and breached several times. Along with all of this, we had brief viewings of two Humpback whales and a Tiger shark from the boat, The Dive Masters and Skipper were fantastic.

Do you have to pay and do a tour to snorkel at coral bay ningaloo reef? Or can you bring your own snorkel and explore for free? 2nd question is the ningaloo reef accessible from the shore or do you have to go out on a boat to reach it??
Written 23 September 2020
Coral Bay has excellent coral within swimming distance from the shore. The tours take you to very special places though. The northern arm of the bay is a nursery for the harmless reef sharks and well worth a look.

Hi, are you allowed to freedive? And can you wear a bathing suit instead of a wetsuit if you go during the warmer months?
Written 12 September 2020
There were people free diving but not around the manta rays and yes it would be ok just to wear your costume as people were doing Just that ok our dive
Hope that helps

Yes of course! Snorkelling gear is included for all of our tours.
Thanks!
Written 3 August 2019
is it possible to just swim at the shore to see the manta rays? or is it neccessary to book the package tours?
Written 13 January 2018
You have to book the tours because they are not easy to spot and they use special planes for that.
Written 18 April 2018
We have booked the whale sharks for later in May and would like to know if there is anything in particular we should be bringing on the tour besides sea sick meds. Thanks

Can you dive and snorkel with whale sharks or just snorkel? Do boats take snorkelers and divers on the same boat? Planning a trip next May/June
Written 5 November 2016
The whale shark encounter tour is snorkel only. We visit two different snorkel spots on the reef and of course the main event with the whale sharks.
We do offer SCUBA diving on the reef and snorkelling on the same boat for the manta ray interaction tour that operates all year round.

Do you provide wetsuits on the manta ray tours
Written 4 November 2016
yes we provide you with 3mm long or short wetsuits for snorkelling and 5mm long or short for SCUBA diving. If you tend to feel the cold, let the crew know so we can provide you with a few more layers and even hoods. The temperature of the water right now is 23 degrees and hopefully will be climbing for summer time.

What is the diving like in February? I understand that the weather can be stormy - does this effect the ability to dive and the dive experience?
Written 21 October 2016
You may have heard that the weather is stormy because it is our cyclone season during that time. However the diving can be exceptional. When the weather is sunny and hot and no wind the conditions will be fantastic for diving. We dive all year round in the shallows of the coral gardens with a maximum depth of 10m. The visibility averages 10-12m. Dependant on the cycles of the tides, we will assess the environmental conditions of the day to find the best dive site for you.
