Pinnacles Desert Sunset Stargazing Tour

137 reviews
The Pinnacles Desert is known for its unique limestone rock formations and lies in the Nambung National Park, an around 2-hour drive north of Perth. On this tour, set out in the afternoon and stop along the way to enjoy sandboarding, see Wildflowers at Nilgen nature reserve in season, then take a guided bush tucker/bush medicine walk at Hangover Bay before arriving at the Pinnacles desert. Then, enjoy a sunset dinner in the desert, followed by a guided stargazing experience.

I should have looked closer, the brochure I selected was dated 2015. Enough said.

Quite an informative centre, looks nice and modern despite being quite small. Would like more information on some of the theories how the Pinnacles were formed. The gift shop next door was OK, most of the stuff you could buy even at the Perth Airport.

We enjoyed an interesting morning waking around the pinnacles. Fascinating! At the gallery there are exhibits with fresh information and real bugs, snake etc. Both the gift shop attendants were friendly and helpful. Employable day out :-)

Probably not as much information available hence the rather small display and information. Felt it could be more interactive and used for graphics or multimedia to present what happened to produce the rocky landscape.

A bit of a drive from Perth but worth it. Unusual, $15 entry fee per car but it also includes entry into Yanchep National Park whichwe did on the way back and saw Kangaroos, Koalas and birds
