Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A visit to the Mausoleum is worthwhile for the history of the Seppelt family as well as the great views and the countryside. This is one of the prettiest parts of the Barossa Valley

The mausoleum is located on a hill with a fabulous view of the surrounding vineyards.
There is a fair climb of stairs to get from the carpark.

The Mausoleum was built for the Winery family members. Peaceful, beautiful view, worth the walk. Maybe best keep the kids away from this beautiful place that needs to stay quiet and respected.

This was an impressive monument to the Seppelt Family and well maintained and a great tribute to what must have been amazing pioneers..The scenery was excellent but it was a private memorial and not a tourist place .

Great little walk up a very steep path. Great view and an insight to the history of the Seppelt family.

It was interesting to see the structure and the iconic dynasty it represents. Well worth a visit along the palm lined avenues.

What a beautiful monument to the Seppelt family. Surrounded by palm trees that are grown on the estate from the original 2 trees brought to Australia when the family emigrated. Stunning views from the top, its a very steep walk from the bottom to top

Amazing, a family member had the foresight to plan his resting place where he could look over his wine estate.

The Mausoleum is a touching testament to the Seppelt family that built and made so much of the area in the late 1800's / early 1900's.

Designed by the original founders immediate descendants (Joseph) the building is a stately testament to the wealth in our country at the time. Architecturally it tips a hat to Ancient Grecian temples and perhaps Roman ones too.

The view from the top of the Seppeltsfield estate is gorgeous.

The steep climb is fine for the able bodied but my elderly parents were not able to make the trip to the front doors. They did admire the view from the ground below and there is a big car park there too.

The most interesting aspect of this outlook are the palm trees along the main road and along the stairs. Behind the mausoleum is a small bush where we saw a big red Kangoeroo.
