This is your day. No large group of strangers in a bus. No set itinerary. Peter has been a resident of Bowral for many years and can recommend special spots for lunch and boutique wineries where the cellar masters can welcome you personally. We can also arrange half-day tours if requested. All details on our web site.

Travelling from Lennox Head to Gundaroo 3-4 times a year always entails the compulsory morning tea on day two at the wonderful Elings Cafe. Great menu and the friendliest of service. A magnet for those looking for a refreshing stop. Enjoyed the atmosphere this morning and look forward to our next southern travel this way. Lennoxlefty

Our first time staying at a winery, it's a perfect place to get to from Canberra. This old style homestead is a great couples getaway from the busy tourist spots. The winery host Michelle was lovely and the staff were helpful and friendly. We had a nice time wine tasting in the wine shed, it was hot in the shed as it was 38 degrees outside. A good selection of wine made at the winery, with my recommendation being the 2018 Reserved Cabernet Sauvignon. My wife preferred the Pear Cider made at the winery. The winery grounds are beautiful, with huge Pine trees around the Homestead and geese roaming the grounds as guard dogs. Breakfast and lunch are at the Cafe within the grounds, with the best inhouse roasted coffee you would get anywhere. A two night visit would be my recommendation to anyone and the bridal suite is my selection for the room. No TV in the rooms, its a good thing. But there is a common lounge room with TV and tea/coffee . Bowral is only 20 minutes away if you are interested in shopping. We will plan to go back soon with friends and family.

From the moment we turned off the Hume Highway into the driveway of Eling Forest Winery, we were taken away by the lush gardens and charm of the estate. Carol greeted us and took us to our room, the Bridal Suite, which we had for the weekend. The room was spacious and intimate, with a picturesque view across to the lake. We then strolled down to the Cellar Door for a wine tasting with Michelle, who was full of knowledge and excitement. Their wines were delicious and it was lovely to learn the history of the estate. We booked the spa which was located just behind our room, under a gorgeous oak tree completely immersed into the garden - a must do!! All rooms on the grounds were booked for the night yet we hardly saw anyone, it felt as if we had the whole place to ourselves. There were plenty of secluded areas you could relax and picnic, or read, away from crowds and noisy groups you may find at other bed and breakfasts. We had requested dinner at the estate to avoid having to drive anywhere and we were so glad we did!! We had authentic Udon chicken noodles - a perfect portion and a complimentary cheese platter. The coffee at the cafe was delicious and the ladies who worked there were so smiley and friendly. Definitely don’t leave without having a coffee! I’ve just realised this sounds like a diary entry...It was a beautiful and relaxing weekend and I highly recommend to stay - the photos on their website don’t do it justice. Michelle was so accommodating, friendly and her hospitality was delightful.

The wines at Eling Forest Winery are excellent. One has to pay for the tasting (only 2 people allowed in the tasting are at a time). We were not so impressed with the cafe, which was packed with patrons. Obviously good, but not Covid safe and definitely not socially distancing. Hopefully, that has changed by now. IT did look like a nice place to eat. The winery is set out well with plenty of place to park.

This was one of the wineries we stopped at as part of a broader winery tour and it was certainly one of the better ones. It was well set up to accommodate the group with COVID restrictions The lady doing the tasting knew the history of the winery and a lot about the wines and how they are made (other wineries we visited didn’t know this). She also had the group laughing. The coffee lovers in the group said the coffee was fantastic.
