Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Month of May is not a time to visit as the garden is in winter mode. There is nothing to see, no autumn foliage and all plants are in hibernation. An entry fee is charged in cash and no ticket issued
It was all very disappointing

Garden is 10/10 absolutely beautiful, have wanted to visit for a long time. Unfortunately upon arrival we were met by the owner who came across extremely rude and rambled on about us not being able to take our pram in with our 10 month old baby, said it was due to insurance policy? Was more dangerous carrying her around as the ground was uneven is some parts……the pram would of been fine handling any part of the garden.
Also got a lecture on having to keep my 4 year old on a leash and that he wasn’t allowed to run around?
Not family friendly, not kid friendly, not pram friendly and only white Australia welcomed who do not have kids.

We were overwhelmed by the beauty of this amazing garden. The dappled light and areas of tranquil shade, the mature trees and the spectacular garden beds packed with colour and the hedges ponds and statues dividing the spaces into individual experiences delight the senses. We were fortunate to be able to talk to the two owners of Red Cow Farm and get a sense of the 30 years of work required to create this masterpiece. They were as impressive as their garden.

Not worth the money spent. Looks like zero maintenance goes into it. Also very bad service, The man inside the house was eerie, he kept peeking out of the window watching us, my kids were scarred even worse he approached and told me that my kids are peeking in at him. My kids were not at all doing this, they just found it weird how he was peeking out of the window at us.
Definitely won’t be coming back again!
Worse garden ever, don’t waste your money.

So easy to miss this wonderful place and drive straight past. What a surprising treat ... quietly beautiful and relaxing ... truly a labour of love for the owners who have literally created it from the ground up. A really exciting mixture with different colours, shapes and settings around every corner. So glad we could take the time to enjoy this relaxing journey through the grounds of Red Cow Farm. An uplifting experience ... and superb value for money. Congratulations and a very sincere ‘thank you’ to the couple who created this hidden gem!

My daughter and I were fascinated by natures artistry on display in so many different ways in these magical gardens. It helped that the air stirred with white butterflies and the odd beautifully coloured one. We are going to return in Spring as the gardens present a different display according to the season. As there are water features and the region enjoys a good rainfall, I do recommend that you to bring mosquito repellant. We took our time meandering through the grounds and took lots of photos. We really enjoyed the tranquility of the more wooded areas and the bird life. Visiting these charming gardens was a real highlight of our trip.

As professional horticulturalists ourselves, we have visited Red Cow Farm several times over the last few years and looked forward to seeing it again this spring after the bountiful rains we have enjoyed this season.
Unfortunately the website and facebook pages were out of date, displaying opening times for last season and when we arrived in spring this year (having travelled from central NSW), we found a hand written sign on the gate saying the gardens were closed for a further two weeks. This was very disappointing.
By luck we had he opportunity to visit the area again in late October, so stopped by to take a look. Unfortunately the owners had just decided to close an hour and a half early, giving us a mere 15 minutes to look through the gardens.
Most regrettable was the attitude of one of the owners who was exceptionally rude - my wife and I put this down to him having a bad day, but were later informed by our host at the B&B where we were staying that this is the norm, not the exception.
We enjoy visiting nice gardens, and will return to gardens repeatedly over the years to watch them develop and evolve, but after our recent experiences Red Cow Farm will no longer be one of them.

This garden is simply amazing. It has incredible hedges, topiary, statues, a pond, walkways, hidden nooks, multiple statues and acres of flowers. And a gift shop. Worth a visit any time of the year. Spectacular. Highly recommended

I came here on a recommendation from my accommodation as somewhere that was relaxing and picturesque. It was stunning! The gardens are beautiful, the lake/pond tranquil and the bird life abundant. The upkeep must be very time consuming and it did look like a few areas were overgrown or had a lot of weeds but that might also be seasonal. I spent over an hour wandering around and sitting on the benches to listen to and watch the bird life.
My only recommendation would be more signage, especially to identify some of the trees/flowers, and to identify which area is which.

Is there a nice cafe near or in the gardens, only after a light lunch, nothing fancy. Do you have tables and chairs in the gardens if we brought our own picnic lunch.
Written 27 July 2019
There is no cafe at the gardens and really don’t think it is the sort of place you can plonk down and have a picnic. Moss Vale is just up the road so there should be lots of options

Dose red cow farm have a coffee shop or restaurant can u handle a group of 30 with a coach ?
Written 10 August 2016
Coach could drop off and park nearby (garden is on a main thoroughfare) - garden could easily handle 30 but no toilet or cafe available for groups. Plenty of cafes within 10 minute drive.
