Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I went with a friend and her 6 year old grandson and it was interesting for adults as well. Easy to walk around and you can get a treasure hunt card for the kids to look for things as they are walking around with a small gift at the end when they hand it in. Not as many interactive things at the moment because of covid but we enjoyed it anyway. No cafe but nice grounds outside to have a picnic. Good parking.

Excellent friendly service from the young man at the counter and the ladies walking through the exhibits.

An awesome collection of vehicles and tools and information. Was fascinated at the horse drawn history.

Great to see so many interactive things for kids.

Well worth a visit.

For any firefighter, past or present, the museum under the capable leadership of Mark White and the staff, is an excellent place to visit and amongst the best, if not the best, i have visited in the world.
The educational sections are extremely well done and provide a wonderful experience for all ages - from Children through to adults.

Pumping appliances from the early years of the NSW Fire Brigades through to current Fire and Rescue NSW equipment is superbly maintained by the volunteer museum staff and exhibited in all their glory.

This museum is far superior to the London Fire Brigades and other museums that I have attended in my visits to firefighting museums throughout the world

I would thoroughly recommend the Museum and its central location adjacent to train station facilitates easy access from across Sydney and the greater Sydney area

What a great place steeped in history. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We drove over an hour to get to the museum and it was worth the trip. My 3 year old son loved it especially and we will be back for another visit!

My partner and I took her nephews. Love the fact they have a kids activity corner with the all-important fire safety messages throughout but tailored so they kids can learn and have fun at the same time. As expected there a plenty of old fire trucks from different eras and info boards packed with interesting tidbits. Definitely a worthwhile excursion. The staff are lovely too. Next time I'd do the tour.

Top day and plenty to see old fire trucks and gear as well as displays of fires and the old telephone switch board used by the fire brigades.

We had a fantastic Sunday here with our two little ones. My four year old particularly loved it. Lots to see and do very interactive. The highlight was the kids zone- kids can dress up and drive a fire engine simulator. Nice well priced gift store too. Even the outdoor playground was well maintained and lots of fun. We will be back great value for money and easy parking and access too.

This is a must see for any visit to Sydney, if you enjoy any to do with Fire Engines you'll love this place. It is a working museum so nearly everything is on working condition, it is a credit to the NSW Fire Department for maintaining this facility. Of course donations are accepted gratefully!
