Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A small museum with a lot to see: I was lucky to visit on one of their open days when they were busy setting up then running one of the presses. It was intriguing. All the people there knew so much about printing. I could ask questions and hear their stories. They showed me the big drawers of metal letters for each font, the large letters in metal type for headlines, the different presses, historic photos, and printed samples of work.

Find it inside the paceway on Sundays only, donate $5, and everyone gets an amazing personal tour of the history of printing. Half a dozen machines show a long history through to machines used for local papers into the 2000s. I've never enjoyed a tour more due to the detail and demonstrations (they also run occasional poster printing courses). An amazing museum.

Very, very interesting. The talks were very informative. I thought is was amazing & loved our visit. To see the machinery still working was awesome, hard to imagine after using a computer & how quick that is, compared to how long it must have taken all those years ago. I would recommend a visit for any age group. Kids of today would do well taking a visit to see just how mush work went into printing all those years ago. Quite an eye opener. Thank you again guys.

A wonderful museum full of printing machines and associated material. A fantastic lecture by the volunteers who obviously really love what they do.

The volunteers who show you the various wonderful pieces of machinery, photos and printing samples are truly amazing and inspirational. They are passionate about it. Come and see the original Penrith Press printing machine. It is truly fascinating.

An incredibility interesting place to visit in Penrith, highlighted by the personal stories told by the staff who are retired from the industry. What will happen when they go, with nobody coing through as its all done so differently now is anybodies guess :(

Our Probus Club visited this Museum on Monday. Everything was excellent and extremely well organised, and the talk by the volunteers was terrific. It was all so entertaining and educational, they turned what some had feared might be slightly boring into a wonderful morning at a venue which we were all loath to leave. All the machines are in working order and were demonstrated, along with many interesting historical facts, interspersed with some good hearted banter between the compositors vs the printers!
Sincere thanks to every one of the very knowledgeable Museum volunteers.
