About
A Wine Tour in Broke focuses on the picturesque Broke Fordwich boutique wine region. However, we do spend many days touring in the Pokolbin main Wine region too. Ours tours are varied and flexible to suit our customers and offer a wonderful, informative day out exploring this magical region. Tours can be private and we do operate 7 days, or join a group tour mainly on a Saturday though. There are lots of tasty lunch options which can be discussed for your individual preferences on a private tour. Pick up from Newcastle, Maitland and, of course, The Hunter Wine region, including Broke Fordwich and Singleton.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

While visiting Newcastle, Australia, from the USA, had some free time so had the hotel concierge arrange an afternoon tour of some wineries in the Hunter Valley region. Our tour guide, Paul, picked us up at the hotel and brought me and a friend to three wineries for tasting. Had plenty of time at each winery to chat with the folks there, and with Paul, who was also very knowledgable about wines. Paul was fun to be around and helped make the afternoon very enjoyable and memorable. It was a five hour trip, with time for a nice lunch between winery visits. I highly recommend hiring Paul as your wine tour guide and letting him do the driving. Well worth the price!

Our group of 4 girls have been annual visitors to the Hunter for 5 years now. Each year we go on a "tour day". We have generally hung around the Lovedale/Pokolbin area. WOW Broke is a hidden gem!! Paul picked us up from our accommodation at about 930am and we returned about 530pm. We visited 3 top quality wineries, as well as a hand made soap shop, sampled olives and sauces and way too much wine. We all enjoyed a lovely lunch at Nightingales restaurant. It was the best tour we have ever been on. Paul was amazing, personable, friendly and knowledgeable. A top person to spend a day with. I highly recommend you leave the tourist spots and go for a tour in Broke with Paul. You won't regret it.

Picked up from our Newcastle hotel, Paul, who runs the business, took us out for a wonderful day in the Broke region of the Hunter Valley.
From wonderful organic growers who gave a lesson in good health as well as beautifully crafted wine, to a legendary chap who mixed olives, wines and stories in equally fabulous portions; we had an absolute ball.
Great value, we left at 9.30 am and got back around 5.30 pm and never stopped having fun! Maybe not quite as much fun as Paul's great grandfather, but that's a story you'll need to hear from Paul direct should you his tour!

Myself and four friends attended the afternoon tour that went from 12:30-4:30. Our driver, Paul, told us we would be visiting three wineries but we ended up being able to visit four, which was great.
Paul was such a great person to have on the tour. He knew more about the wines than the people serving us at the wineries, and knew exactly what to pair each wine with. On top of having extensive knowledge on the wines and the wineries, he was a lot of fun! He offered to take photos for us throughout the entire day, and was completely unbothered about our silly behaviour after drinking too much wine. I have been on a few wine tours in the hunter valley and most have been very rushed. On this tour, we had enough time at each winery to take pictures, explore, taste and purchase. Other tours that I have been on, most of the guides have just waited in the bus, but Paul came in and sat/stood with us during every single tasting. He would give us advice on every wine, and by the end of the day was able to determine which wines we would enjoy the most before we had even tasted. Paul also joined into all our conversations and enjoyed learning about us as people.

Overall this tour was really great and our group wouldn't think twice about attending the tour again. The value for money was more than fair, and I would definitely recommend this tour for groups of friends, couples and families.

Trying to organise a wine tour for my sister's hens was made so easy with the help from the very professional and helpful team that is Paul and Margueriette. We had the best day possible! They listened to exactly what I wanted and came up with the perfect day. I am a local and been on many wine tours over the years, I wish I had known about this team much earlier as I would have booked with them every single time. I would recommend them to anyone who is planning the perfect day with friends or an event. They will take you to places you didn't even know existed even if you are a local of the area!

Great day with a friendly driver. Lovely to visit boutique wineries that are more special than the more commercial ones.

Paul is a great guy and really made a great day even better. My sister is vegan and he organised everything and not one thing went wrong. He constantly made sure everything was perfect and it never wasn't. We got picked up and dropped off and looked after so well Paul also takes great group photos!

Paul was a wonderful tour guide. He took us to a selection of different wineries and always had interesting information to share about the region. Paul knew all the locals so could take us to some lesser known but fantastic spots. He was accommodating of our interests and was great company but also gave us space to enjoy ourselves. LGBT friendly as well! I would definitely recommend this company for a great value wine tour in the Hunter.

They give great tours and are reasonably priced. The other group was a bit on the too Jolly side so we appreciated our driver Steve introduced us separately to the wine hosts so we could enjoy it better. Also appreciated the drop off at a winery near our accommodation so we could squeeze an extra in and walk home! Fab!
