About
Greenway Wines is a boutique Cellar Door boasting a range of elegant handcrafted single vineyard wines, all proudly Broke Fordwich. This cellar door makes the sought after Fiano and was one of the first to plant it in the Hunter Valley. You will also find a selection superb reds - both Merlot and Shiraz - ask for the drought vintages - as they are mouthwatering! As it is a small vineyard, Greenway prides itself on a line up of 'road less travelled' wines with range of sparklings, tawny and dessert wines that are to be found behind the counter - just remember to ask. Antipasto platters designed to share are available too! Wise to book and have one ready for you as you arrive. The cellar door is a country style red barn, oozing with character charms. And it is sited within a secret garden on the banks of Wollombi Brook, surrounded by the foothills of the Brokenback Ranges. Its dog and little people friendly too. A truly picturesque setting and well worth the adventure to find!

Such a delightful winery. Upon entering the gates you drive through the vines to the cellar doors - its glorious. And Anne and her crew as so welcoming and hospitable. I simple love that 100% of their grapes are grown onsite and only those grapes are used in their delicious wines. My first time tasting their wines and Im now a member with a dozen bottles cellaring, though the wines are yummy enough to drink now - Fiano sparkling, Fiano flat, Merlot and Shiraz are my faves. Cracked open the Merlot last night in fact - divine.

Five Star Designer Picnic was an absolute pleasure to enjoy. This experience is one of a few wonderful offerings by Annie the owner of Greenway Wines. Truly special and exclusive experience including a private wine tasting. An absolute must for any occasion and highly recommended and we are coming for the April Lunch.

Continuing the Broke boutique wineries day, our next stop was Greenway Wines. Another small, family owned vineyard with a small, tho delicious, range of slightly unusual wines. Anne and her husband are producing a wonderful Sparkling Fiano - chilled on a very hot day, as it was, slipped down easily - as well as a Taminer, a Verdelho, a Rose (award winning) a Merlot and a Shiraz. Each and every one of these was delightful. Anne is a warm, friendly and entertaining host, passionate about her vines and her wines. On this occasion I took home the shiraz while the bubbles made it as far as Qld in other pieces of luggage.

A small vineyard feeling, and great wines, using excellent local produce in their platter.
Annika prepared us an exception ploughmans platter to enjoy with our wine tasting experience.
I found the "bubbles" sparkling Fiano sensational, & I highly recommend trying the Sabine Rose - see if you also like them both.
It is great to see the hunter retaining / reinventing the friendly, informative cellar door experience.

witty and fun wine information was given about each wine we tried.
lush property set by a little creek,
just really lovely and wished we would have stayed there all day and bought more wine.

We were very pleased that we made the extra effort to drive out to Broke and visit Greenway Wines. It’s nestled in a very peaceful corner of the world, the cellar door is stunning (and striking) and the proprietor (Anne) was very bubbly and full of conversation. Oh... and the wine is nice. I liked the merlot and the Architect Shiraz. They even had iPhones for cash registers which I thought was cool. A great customer experience
