Very beautiful and picturesque. Not a lot open in winter but still worth the drive. Cold and windy but we got some great pictures. Would love to go back in summer time.

Drove around in the third week of October. Most of the restaurants were closed. Island is much bigger than I expected. I was expecting a store after a store in short distances like in Napa Valley. Still there are some places open for tastings. We...More

Went end of October. Almost everything was closed. Only 2 restaurants still open on the whole island. Only a couple of apple stands. Chocolate and maple syrup places all closed. Bit disappointing. Nice drive. Leaves were about 75% fallen. I could only imagine how great...More

We drove on Route 368 or the Chemin Royal road which goes around the Ile d’Orleans. As soon as we crossed the bridge, we headed on the right for an anti-clockwise drive of the island. Our first stop was the Chocolatier right along the edge....More

Scenic road that lets you see the entire island. You can travel by car or bicycle through the different towns, sample the local fare, and enjoy the breath-taking views of the St. LAwrence River.

If you really want to see the island then you have to travel Chemin Royal and it won't disappoint. We enjoyed our leisurely drive with some stops along the way. The island should be on everyone's agenda. It's a big change from Quebec City.

My boyfriend and I spent the entire day on this road - from 11 am to 5:30 pm - and that's what I would suggest. Don't do Montmorency Falls and Ile D'Orleans in one day, you'll end up rushing to see everything and won't get...More

We drove around the entire island at the beginning to June. We stopped and bought wine, chocolate and cider at different stores. There were plenty of places to park and walk around or have lunch or ice cream. At the far end of the island...More

We drove this whole road around the island. Maybe for Canada special, but being from a Europe we were disappointed. There are no small charming villages nor exceptional nature sights. Yes, the island has a special feel which differs from the mainland, but is that...More

We didn't see any while we were driving about the third of the island, but there is a large grocery store, IGA, not far from the M. waterfall and the only bridge into the island.
