Such a beautiful gem Newfoundland has in Western Brook Pond. I must say I enjoyed the scenery (and interpretive signs) walking to and from the dock almost as much as the boat ride sites. Breathtaking. Boat ride was enjoyable, but unfortunately, our plan to arrive...More

The walk-in to the boat, on mostly boardwalk is not arduous and very interesting to anyone interested in plants. The boat trip in the fjord is spectacular and may be the closest we will get to the Norwegian fjords.

There's is a long walk from the parking lot over rough gravel and boardwalk but do it if you can to get to the boat tour. There's cafe on the pond where you get the boats. The tour is awesome.

Well worth the relatively easy walk out to the wharf. The trail is easy to navigate and few inclines. The snack bar at the wharf had lots to eat before boarding the boat. Join the line early if two boast because boat #1 is larger...More
