Rudest owners

This isn’t a review of the park the park is lovely this is a review of the cafe. To start they charge more for a coffee then Costa, they under pay their staff that on average work 11 hr days and get paid £70 and they are beyond rude. I have a dog and I picked up his poo and put it in the bin and picked him up went to join the queue to buy a coffee when this abrupt woman said Is that dog poo you just put in there you need to take it out this is our bin not the park bin, she then stormed over opened the bin passed the poo bag back to me. Her whole attitude was so aggressive had she of said I’m sorry we can’t have that in these bins because we have to store the waste til collected and food etc etc you get what I’m saying just been polite I would of said I’m sorry didn’t realise but she didn’t so I said forget the coffee she said that’s fine we’re not worried so I sweared at her (I admit that was wrong but so angry) which she then told me to watch my language like she was superior to me and I was a child! I’m in my mid 30’s! anyway massive rant I’m just so furious as I go there regular with my dog and little boy so I pay for their over priced rubbish coffee often but I won’t ever buy again from then

So relaxing to walk in the park

I love to walk in Raphael Park. Had lunch in the restaurant. Really nice meal but a bit over priced. Will take a picnic next time.

Price shock
Sep. 2021 • Friends
I'm mum of two boys in the area and love to go Raphael Park very often. But after today experience will never return to the small Caffè at the end of park next to playground!! Prices are shocking ! ....I'm.not being tight but after paying £3 for 6min. on bouncy castle we got wipped 1 scube ice cream for the older one at £2.50 rate I ask to get just an empty cone for my baby boy ( witch I have no problem to pay for ) ....but been shocked to pay £2 for an empty cone!!! That more expensive then the actual ice cream itself!!.

lovely park that has the pathways relaid and kept very well. Lake is in good order with a great fountain in the middle. Good place for an amble.

Our favourite park

This is our favourite local park. We visit frequently. The lake is beautiful and the kids love the ducks. Overall a nice walk for both grown ups and kids.

Perfect day at the park
Aug. 2020 • Couples
This park is superb. It has a scenic route for walks and beautiful spots to have a picnic. The pond is amazing and provided good entertainment when watching the ducks. Also there is a restaurant on the park grounds. The parking facilities are good and near the park. You can park for 3 hours for free. This park is perfect for families, couples and solo visits. There is a play area, benches and places for you to do some fishing.

A lovely place to unwind and relax
Jun. 2020
A beautiful park to visit, walk around and relax in and the restoration work over recent years and added pathways etc have restored it to its former glory and the lake is stunning. Having a restaurant at one end and a nice cafe/kiosk at the other end also enhance the experience. It would be nice to see the lovely bandstand utilised more. For example I've often heard people say it would be nice if the Salvation Army band played there occasionally especially at weekends.
