Great night out

Great night out. Reasonably priced food from kiosks. (Restaurant also available pre booked) Great fun. Arrive early for decent seats. Saturday always seems to be busier than Friday. Friendly staff. Can’t praise this place enough

Gone to the Dogs
Aug. 2021 • Family
Been going dog racing for 40 years on and off, the bustle of the crowd trying to place a bet and atmosphere is great but sometimes a sit down meal is all that’s required with a member of staff taking your bets at your table whilst you enjoy your food . Great place to visit for an occasion as we did but also a social night out . Good food, good service and although lost my money gambling, still got a great buzz out of the evening . Well done Romford.

A fabulous night
Aug. 2021
I visited the Romford Dog track recently and had a meal with family in the Paddock Restaurant during a racing event. I was actually extremely surprised at how good the food was and how good the value for money was. It was excellent. A fabulous night's entertainment for an extremely reasonable cost.

ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT
Feb. 2020
Romford’s brand new stadium has immense potential for a great night out.

I visited on Friday evening, can’t help thinking they’ve currently got things a little wrong? The main bar upstairs is naturally a busy area. Next is the main Tote betting facility. Several pedestal tables are situated here, right at the top of the main stairwell out to the track. Therefore you have a major bottleneck. I even saw a great big baby buggy loaded with shopping in this area, nobody can get past, people are queueing to place their bets while others are carrying trays of drinks.

An accident waiting to happen? Sadly in this day and age, one spilt drink can quickly escalate into all kinds of trouble, not what anyone wants on a good night out?

Further along are a couple of sweets machines that are rarely used. These should be moved along between the TV screens, the pedestal tables can go here to spread out the crowd and prevent the previous problems. Simples?

Very disappointed
Feb. 2020
I had booked to go dogs with my husband, and another couple, when we arrived I was surprised to see so many young kids freely running around! Also there isn’t enough seating,we went outside to watch each race, which we did enjoy,as we love watching the dogs.but found it just too chaotic with the kids using the stairs as climbing frames, and then falling over ,with parents no where in site, was like a school playground! Just couldn’t relax, shame won’t be retuning as don’t expect kids running round TIL past 10pm!
