We honestly thought it was closed because of the outside appearance having walked along the Saxon Shore Way from Gravesend. Pleased to find it wasn’t and that the local beers Shrimpers and Northfleet were well kept. If its a grey day you find yourself looking...More

Pub with views of the Thames down at Denton, Gravesend. Food available during the day Monday to Friday. Best ring just to make sure before you travel. Now food also available on a Wednesday evening. Lots of things going on at the weekend's. And other...More

Called in with 3 mates mid afternoon. From the outside it looks rough and run down, However this isn't unusual for exposed pubs by rivers or the sea, So please don't let this put you off. Inside a traditional pub with a bunch of locals...More

A group of us went to the Tapas night, the food was very tasty and good value for money. The jug of sangria was excellent. I will definitely be going back.

I called in here with 5 cycling friends . From the outside, the S & L ,to be honest, does not look particularly inviting. But inside, you quickly realise that it's the people that make this place ( and the food). In many pubs these...More

Stumbled across this little gem last Wednesday lunchtime. Proper old-fashioned riverside boozer. Drinks reasonably priced and knowledgeable locals! Very friendly and welcoming staff. Tables outside overlooking the river. Bit out of the way but definitely worth searching out. Will be back for sure.
