Odd, intriguing and good fun

The castle is located in a beautiful place, so the place alone is reason to go. Make sure you have time to explore the nearby village and walks. The castle tour itself was fun, informative and due to the "Odol" link quite unusual - we learnt fascinating and random facts about mouth wash that one would not associate with a... More

Beautifully restored and well kept castle, over the small village of Tarasp, with a beautiful view of the surroundings. The interesting and amusing tour in german, takes you in about an hour through several rooms of the castle. It's not possible to visit the castle without a tour. I'ts also not allowed to take pictures inside the rooms. Beware, that... More

The castle is very impressing, it has a nice interior and an interesting history. However you can only visit inside the castle with a guided tour. At the start of the tour we had one guide who spoke English, French, Italian and German, so there were no problems in understanding him. The next part of the tour was only given... More

This is certainly worth a visit but be warned, there are many rules to be followed - no wandering in a relaxed manner here! For example: you must join a guided tour, which only leave every hour; you must leave rucsacs in the hall at the start of the tour; you must not take photographs...etc So, as i say, worth... More

We visited Tarasp and hiked from Fontana to Sparsels and had a great view of the castle and tiny lake with lilies. For best view, climb the hill with the big cross on the top. We did not visit inside the castle.

From the public parking area at the lower end of the village it is an uphill walk to the castle along attractive narrow streets with flower decorated houses. We joined the 2.30pm tour of the castle, expecting at least some English commentary but were very disappointed. For the first 15 minutes of the tour we were 'held' in one room... More

This is a repeat location for us. Our go-to-location for great food amazing scenery and quiet atmosphere. This time we returned as a family with our daughter and small dog in tow. The Pazeller Family could not have been more kind or gracious to us all. We had one suite on the top floor facing the castle and a second... More

Our visit was guided by the castle curator himself, and was exclusive to our group of 12. Great in every way. Not to be missed when in the area!
