This is Dali's personal house and studio. He added to this over the years to create a compound, complete with swimming pool. Visits are restricted to small groups at a time therefore you need to reserve in advance, but it is definitely worthwhile for the...More

Really worth a trip, once in a lifetime experience. Even after night of partying in town. Tickets were scarce, went with a group of friends, but were only able to beg for one ticket which I got to use, consider people I were with have...More

A remarkable home, with such eclectic taste. I really enjoyed Dali's house, some what more then the Theatre Museum in Figueres, because it gave me a personal insight into Dali and Gala, how they lived together and developed their home over the years. We stayed...More

Our visit for the day was to coastal Port Lligat in Cadaques Spain. Here Salvador Dali built a house where he and his wife Gala lived most of their lives. We parked in a side lot and walked along the tiny harbor past small colorful...More

Nice house with spirit of Dali. It's interesting to walk the ways that this grand painter walked, see the chairs where he was sitting while painted his works. From now we understand Dali a bit more than before. A villa itself is very nice. Loved...More

The gist to Dalí's house was an eye-opener. An eccentric character, his house fit his personality. Worth the visit.

Not a big Dali fan, but the site was so strange that I found it interesting all the same. If you plan to walk from Cadaques be prepared for about a 30 minute hike - not pleasant in the afternoon, so I suggest a nice...More

It is difficult for me to be objective as I am a big fan of Dali. To see where he lived and some of his unfinished work still on the easel in his studio. So much character. I loved the place. Highly recomended.

For car rental, there are several in Figueras (Europcar, Budget, etc) and in Girona. Driving should be straight forward, but make sure you have a good GPS if you want to make the Dali triangel.

I think you have the answers to your question above. I would add that I believe it would be a mistake not to give Cadaques a bit more time. Consider spending a night or two there.
