Robert Graves is buried in Deia and had been a resident of the village for many years before he died. Climb up to Church to see his grave and take in the view. His hous is well worth a visit, not opulent but homely and filled with books and mementos of the writer of 'I Claudius'. Great setting in nice... More

This is an interesting house that is now run as a publicly-owned establishment. The garden is very attractive and the rooms give a glimpse of the writer's life. The cards for each room are informative. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in Deia

This is a delightful place to visit in Deia. The house is gives an insight into both Mallorcan life and that of the writer and poet Robert Graves. You can see why he set up his life here in the classic romantic style and possibly how this helped him to be such a productive writer.

We visited Deia with the intention of taking in the museum and a walk in the area including the sea cove below the village. The village and the church and graveyard (where Graves, and many of those who subsequently came to join the artistic community based at Deia, are buried) are worth seeing. The local authority and the foundation set... More

If you have read any of Roberts graves works then this is really a very interesting spot to visit. A complex man, there is a good ideal of his life which explains in reasonable details how he came to live in Mallorca. The house and garden are well looked after.

The house is really well kept as well as the nice garden. I would come again but would recommend finding a near place to park before going.

We appreciate your remarks. There is a free car park 4 minutes walk away, opposite the turn-off to Cala Deià. A map is posted by our entrance. More

Very interesting. Make sure you see the short video before you take the tour. House is small but gives you a real insight to Robert graves life. Even though 2 of the war photos in the gallery are of the wrong war! Not a large home but well fitted out with items of the period. We were very lucky as... More

I had hear about Robert Graves house and his life in Deia before I visited, although I hadn't read his books. It was easy to imagine his life there, it felt as though he had just left the house to a while and it was good to think about the obviously happy times he had had there, and the way... More

I'm embarrassed to admit that I had no previous knowledge of Robert Graves before visiting his home turned museum. I'm glad I did. It was a peaceful and informative experience and gave me insight into life in rural Mallorca during a much simpler age. The caretaker of the house and grounds was generous with his time and so kind to... More

I'd read I, Claudius & Claudius the God but hadn't realised Robert Graves had written over 100 books. We were the only visitors so had the whole house to ourselves. Very interesting to see & easy parking nearby.
