This was a nice change of pace - within easy walking distance of the Kremlin and town. It is an assortment of wooden buildings that have been transported from various parts of the country to show you what the churches, mills, and homes from the...More

In an area full of amazing churches this is a must see. All wood, no nails and no saw used. Also see the different wooden houses.

Went there with a tour and although raining still enjoyed seeing typical farm village life. The accommodation was genuine so too were the furnishings. Also the windmill and water wheel. Great place to visit.

Did this as part of a walking tour around Suzdal. The architecture is stunning. Each building has a little explanation about it in both Russian and English. Definitely worth visiting

Unique museum of wooden architecture from old times. Gives impression of how people were living in country side, lot of interesting artifacts.

It was a fascinating glimpse into the difficulties of living and farming, how they traded, and how everyone helped out. Having a tour guide made the visit more meaningful. Make sure to have one.

Walking distance from the town center (I suggest walking over the fields), this is good for an hour or so. I have seen several of these village museums and this is not the biggest, but very interesting and not too crowded. Good souvenir stands outside.
