Touch the snow in May in Portugal
Travelling from Porto to the South across Serra da Estrela was a good decision. Plenty of nice views. Many attractions on the way (water reservoirs, RAMSAR protected area, charming glacier valley, ski area etc.). More on the pictures.

Amazing natural park
The highest and biggest national park in Portugal. Great views, walking trails, lakes, valleys and winding narrow roads. Much opportunities for traveling by car or bike.

Spectacular scenery!
This is a spectacular park - rocky peaks and high cliffs, almost no vegetation except for gorse which covers the mountainsides in yellow in the summer. Huge rocky outcrops - a wild rather inhospitable place really, but definitely worth seeing!
