We spent two days in Amerla room #9. The grounds are gorgeous with amazing view of The Douro river and the vineyards Room was comfortable and spacious. Had we been during warmer weather the small pool central to Amerla would have been the perfect ending to the day. The included breakfast was the best we had in all of Portugal. Staff were accommodating and pleasant. We also took the wine tour w tasting, and learned a little bit. This is such an amazing place, full of history, with a view and beauty that cannot be described. Would highly recommend staying here. We were totally happy and pleased with our choice! .

We were lucky as there was just me and my son on the tour. This made it very personal. The guide was very friendly - they must do this 100s of times but she was enthusiastic and answered all the questions. Good video introduction, a tour of where the grapes get crushed and then a look at the port in the barrels. Finally, the tasting, The room was great and there's an amazing view over the valley.

We stayed two nights at Quinta de la Rosa. The hotel is very clean with modern amenities we loved our stay. The staff was wonderful and helpful. The wine tasting and tour was great. We are both nights at their restaurant which was delicious!

We had a lovely experience with our tour and tasting. Our guide was very informative and friendly. We saw the cellar and processing area and ended with a tasting of 4 wines in a modern area with a view of the valley. It would have been nice to tour the vineyard but that was not part of the tour.
