Tip: Since we've visiting the area, we paid $0.99 for a month of the entertainment book's online subscription which is good for deals anywhere. The zoo has a deal in there for free child's admission with paid adult. Pros: Free parking! The grounds are very...More

The Virginia Zoo is an enjoyable experience for all ages with beautiful gardens and large variety of animals. It is obvious the zoo cares about their animals. I highly recommend families explore the zoo.

Homegrown band, BuckShot, played at the Virginia Zoo Jun 24. Check out the website for more offerings... Sociable people, room for the kids to run around, "Mommy Juice" available, as well as food. Bring some friends & a picnic blanket or two!

This is a well-maintained zoo with some interesting animals to see. The information posted about the animals was interesting and concise.

We had a nice day at the zoo. The crowds were small. I was disappointed in many areas were under construction. On a positive note, a baby giraffe was visable. A little over a month old and very cute. I think the name will be...More
