This is a great rainy day activity. Enjoy lunch in the museum. This is a serious collection of a wide variety of art...spend a few hours there! The glass collection is a stand out.

We stopped by the museum when we were in Virginia for spring break. Our kids (13,10) loved it! The staff were very friendly and the exhibits were wondeful. And best of all, I was free! Plan to spend about 2 hours there if we want...More

Wonderful art museum and it’s free to all visitors!! I do recommend leaving a donation in their box when leaving as I’m sure it helps with the upkeep and the purchase of more art!! This is a wonderful multiple floor museum with many different styles...More

Fabulous museum which presents original pieces of art from all over the world, spanning eight hundred years, interesting for all ages. We started by a curious chess game with Christians and Jewish people, still flowers preserved in glass, magnificent vases, Tiffany lamps, Gallé and Lalique...More

Being that there is no admission fee, and parking is free this is certainly a value. There are a myriad of rare items, (there is some junk too that makes the great pieces more appreciative). You could spend a few hours here, but generally if...More

This museum has something for everyone! So many unique works of art. I especially loved the glass room. They also have a fabulous cafe as well as a gift shop. So much to see and take in, that you will wonder where the day went!

I agree with the other overwhelmingly positive reviews here. Not only was the Chrysler Museum a great repository of many different types of art, it was also free to the public. And another real surprise - personal photography was actually encouraged! Our favorite section was...More

The Chrysler Museum was in a large beautiful building. We were there in off season so parking was easily accessible. We are not typically museum fans, but being that it was free, we decided to walk around. The rooms and displays are logically organized and...More

Visited primarily to see the glass exhibition but discovered a whole other realm of exhibits. In addition to the main building, there's a glass studio and two historic buildings in downtown Norfolk. Admission is free, but a contribution seems in order.
