a very relaxing walk through the gardens to arrive to the black basaltic gole , so beautiful. I don't advise to stay long in the freezing water

Wonderful gore very close to Giardino di Naxos. I didn't like at all the shops and attractions they build around this peaceful location. Also the thematic park looks very cheap and abandoned...

The photos posted are even more impressive in real life. Amazing to see the effect of nature, and great that you can get so close to it all. Wading up and down the river is an enjoyable experience.

It was nice to see the Alcantara gole but it should not be your only goal for the trip. You can combine it with a visit to Etna. We stayed only 45 minutes there and saw everything.

This one was a stop over on the way. Not really a planned one but since I was there in the neighborhood... and it was absolutely worth doing the break! Nature is amazing and the way it is presented in the place - wow! You...More
