Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful grotto with crystal clear water. For the best experience, plan to swim inside. The lesser known part is the internal grotto accessible from underwater through a small passage on the right before arriving to the main grotto. Claustrophobic should abstain from visiting the latter, though.

You have to take one of the small boats from the port to visit this cave and the nearby caves (you cannot go by yourself unless you are a trained sailor man/woman).
Don't be scared: to visit this particular cave you have to freedive briefly. It's just a second and anyone can do it!

We went with the whole family to Puglia and one recommended outdoor activity was the visit of the caves approaching from a boat. Our tour included several caves on the eastern coast starting a bit before Leuca and a stop at this cave. It is extremely easy to swim and to enter the cave. A bit dark inside and when the wave comes and blows is quite impressive for the kids. We went inside the cave with a 10and 8 yo kids. No issues at all.

We registered to a 2 hours boat ride to the grottoes. It was last ride of the day, so we were only the 4 of us on the boat. For me, the best part was to jump into the water and swim a little bit. My cousin, who loves sea and sailing, enjoyed being on the boat and swimming. What I say is that the grottoes were not so great.

We were able to experience a boat tour to the grottos here and were totally amazed by the fantastic rock formations and the many different grottos. The sea was a bit rough at first, but it got better at the caves. Despite everything, if you are prone to seasickness, I recommend doing this tour on another day when the sea is calmer.

Very suggestive scratch, worth seeing and possibly visiting. I had the opportunity to see it during an excursion. Not among the best on the splendid coast of Leuca.
