At the top of via Monte Pertica in Alberobello, opposite the little park, sits a relatively modern church with trullo-style conical roofs, in accordance with its location. Plain interior, nothing like the heavily ornate detail found in many Italian churches, just a simple fresco at...More

Was on holiday in the Puglia region and browsed the internet for mass on Saturday evening and managed to hear mass at the church dedicated to San Antonio. Glad to have met other Maltese at the same mass. The mass started at 19.00hrs and was...More

You won't find a church like this easily in the world. Trulli beautiful and is opposite a field where they hold street markets (like a fete with stalls selling all sorts of things - not sure which days). Magical, simple, beautiful.

A sparse church with a colourful fresco behind the altar. There’s a collection of bells too along one wall. The main attraction is that there is the cone in the centre of the roof.

You will find this at the top of the hill. It's a lovely pace to stop, plus, there are clean restrooms nearby.

It's a small church, beautiful artistic crucifixion scene. However, it is not a destination, or a rel reason to come to this lovely town. If you are waking by, pop your head in to see some nice artwork.

My late father name was Antonio, so I entered this church to bring nice memories to mind. This Alberobello church having the roof in the form of trullli was constructed in 1925–1927, in 2004 reconstructed.
