A pleasant castle to visit make sure that you get there early to avoid the crowds. The lift up is tiny. The castle has some amazing views of the town. The cafe at the top is a well deserved treat when you reach the top. The pomegranates growing In the castle grounds was a lovely find.

We walked here from our hotel, the entry fee was very reasonable, there were a number of beeches along the way that you could stop off at and plenty of cafes. Right the castle, wow what great architecture, so old, guide books are good, lots to see, toilets on the site and cafes. There is a lot of signs and... More

This is obviously ischia's standout attraction. It's an incredible, beautiful place with an interesting history and it can be visited in the off season (e.g. November) in an environment much quieter than its pedigree implies. There are cafes and restaurants on it but their opening hours are erratic. Easier to eat "on the mainland" if in doubt. Anyway, the caveat... More

This castle is easy to get to, and well priced. You take a lift up to the top, then work your way round with the leaflet provided. The views were amazing from all angles - of Ischia and of the surrounding sea and islands. It is incredibly well kept, and very peaceful. We even spotted some dolphins! This is a... More

The best view to Ischia Island from there. Beautiful terrassas and gardens. Entrance - 10 euros for adults.

The entry fees might make you as hesitant as I was (10 euro), but it is definitely worth it and I am happy I choose to visit it. You will find breathtaking views on the surrounding seas and islands, amazing labyrinths of flowers and exotic plants, well preserved walls, chapels and prisons! Don't miss it!

This is a must see excursion on Ischia. Its open from 0900 each day to sunset and costs 10 euros per person. but you can spend hours and hours on this excursion and there are a couple of little cafes in it for refreshments ( the only hot food they serve is ham & Mozarella toasted sandwiches which are delicious)...
