We hiked up in the morning to find breathtaking views of the Rhine. The path was well marked and easy to find right in the center of the town of Bacharach

The castle is now a youth hostel, but you can walk around and seem much of it. It's a very steep and challenging climb up. The view about 3/4 the way up and at the top are very worthwhile.

A better view and a cooler place to stay is hard to find. A beautiful castle with excellent breakfast despite being a hostel. Something you and the children will remember.

We hiked up here when we were doing a town walk around Bacharach and we were pleasantly surprised! It currently functions as a hostel but it's central courtyard is quite picturesque and the views from up here are amazing!! The hike up isn't too long...More

The walk up here is nice. The view from the top is even better. I highly recommend getting up there.
