Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I’m always flabbergasted when visiting old Roman artefacts which have survived 2000 years and are still almost in the same condition than they used to. Interesting to envision the part of Provence as being a very travelled place by many Finally this bridge stands in a nice area in the middle of multiple small roads wandering between villages (Lacoste, Menerbes, Lumières...).

This is a nice example of intact Roman architecture that you can easily access when the river is low.

I agree with other reviewers - Le Pont Julien deserves better signage and information. After all, it is a beautiful bridge which has survived over 2,000 years - I only had the limited information in my France tour book to provide context. We visited on a sunny afternoon, and enjoyed watching children playing the water below. There is also a well-marked bicycle route which we would like to use on our next visit.

Stopped to have a picnic beneath this impressive bridge as we hiked across the valley. Beautiful location with a long history. Easy place to enjoy some sunshine on the wide banks beside the river.

Thanks to zero water in the river, you can walk down, over, and explore & touch every aspect of this ancient Roman bridge. Amazing to see the workmanship up close. Hard to believe cars were still using it not that long ago! Quiet and not busy at all.

This bridge was built to carry the Via Domitia oner the Rivière du Calavon, connecting Rome with Gaul and Iberia. Still standing after 2000 years, the three arch bridge is a marvel of Roman engineering.

Very hard to accept that this bridge was built about 2000 years ago, and still standing. I drove my van over it about twenty years ago, but has been closed as local guys were going over in 10 ton trucks, not a good idea. New bridge has been opened just beside at great cost, great view point.
The now nearly empty river was a torrent when this bridge was built, but the earthquakes about 1900 dropped all water levels and global warming is not helping. Not fake news, Mr T**** !
