The Abbey central section was not accessible due to renovation. It was a very large structure, reported to have the blood of Jesus embedded in one wall. Our group was the only people there. Perhaps I've just seen to many old churches this trip.

Gothic XII-XIII century Abbatiale de la Sainte-Trinité, where are several tombs Dukes of Normandy. During our visit Abbey was on reconstruction, but it is possible to get inside. Walls, columns, vaults became much whiter, which further highlights and reveals the greatness of Abbey.

Grand gothic cathédrale rich in history, but I have a bias being descended from Richard I and II who are buried here. Staff seems mostly volunteer, but tries to be helpful, although most not English-speaking. Be sure to check out ruins of Norman castle across...More

If you are wandering around Fecamp, be sure to visit the Abbé de la Trinité; it does not seem too impressive from the outside (it was damaged many times throughout the ages), but this inside is huge and very impressive. Be sure to spend some...More

Fantastic scale - huge. Superb glass. Reverent atmosphere. Super crib when we were there. More lighting would not have come amiss.

massive lime stone cathedral, recently restored, amazing sculptures on the facade and though hit by bombs in WWII some surviving beautiful stained glass windows from the 15th century

Nice quiet place to walk around with many medievel bits like orginal paintwork and architecture still intact and the signage in English is good.
