You can rush through and get very little out of your visit,BUT if you take your time and read the display boards, use the headphones and listen to the tapes and watch the small videos about the steps in producing wine,you will learn a lot...More

The 4d tour by an insect guide involves water squirted in your face and other novelties. I wonder why the animated insect guide did not turn the wine to vinegar! The rest was interesting enough. Quiet expensive at 8 eurosMore

This self guided tour gives an excellent intelligent explanation of the history, terroir and viticulture of winemaking in the Sancerre. It also has a lovely small garden with different herbs and fruit trees. Highly recommended if you love wine and want to understand more about...More

We go to Sancerre every year wine buying. We have visited the Maison des Sancerre three times and each time it was different but very good.It uses high tech to tell the story of the wines of Sancerre.Do not miss the cinema experience.

The museum including 4D movie gives great insight into why the wines of the Sancerre region are famous worldwide. Take a look and you won't be disappointed

A great start to our stay in Sancerre, a well presented guide to the local wine production, exploring all the elements of wine making. We took our young children and felt very welcome they really enjoyed the 4D cinema!
