This small museum compliments the remains of the Mulberry harbour on the nearby beach. There are some excellent models showing just how the harbour was constructed and how it worked as well as other war time memorabilia. Well worth a visit.
Overlooking Gold Beach and the remnants of the Mulbury Harbour, this is a brilliant museum, probably the best we visited in a day of museums. The exhibits were superb, the film and slide show complimentary and the staff wonderfully friendly and helpful.
The most interesting parts are the models of the floating harbour complete with moving sea built by Bassett Lowke in the fifties. The rest is mostly the usual collection of uniform and other bits and bobs.

Unlike recent reviewers we found this Museum disappointing. Firstly, the presentation by an in-house guide was only in French. Parties of 20 or more could get an English presenter! Poor.
Secondly, there was a ten minute movie in English which was interesting to be fair....More
